Jomax Sew and Vac Centers have been serving Maryland customers since 1972 with high quality products and service, resulting in their becoming the leader in the sewing machine industry. They were the first in Maryland to offer computerized sewing machines dating back to 1975 and have been on the cutting edge ever since with the latest in fashion, quilting and embroidery machines, as well as mending and utility sewing machines. We are Maryland’s leader in embroidery and quilting machines. We have one of the largest sewing machine repair departments in Maryland. History

Established in 1972.

Located in the 140 Village Shopping Center Jomax is owned and operated by Mike and Dianna Uttenreither. We have expanded greatly from the original «Singer Store» in the 70’s and now specialize in the top brands, such as Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, Brother, Singer, Simplicity, Miele, Electrolux, Hoover, Eureka, and more.

I started working for the Singer Company in Baltimore while still in school. From graduation I went into business with my father, Joe opening the first Singer Dealership in Maryland. After 3 years we opened a 2^nd store in Westminster, MD which I manage with my wife Dianna.
