I have to agree with Steph A. on this one. Who puts an order reservation on their website(with the option for delivery) and doesn’t honor it? It was almost the same exact conversation I just had with them when I wanted to add Turkey to my order. Obviously, I was silly for thinking that when you order something, they would actually reserve it for you. The woman told me the same thing, regarding«sides» — «We don’t ever reserve them — first come, first served.» Then why can I order them? Obviously, this happens a lot because the woman nearly immediately(and almost by rote) said«If you want me to get my supervisor, I’d be happy to do that.» Poor woman probably hears this kind of thing all the time. You have to wonder then — why not work on changing those policies, eh? I’m going to Whole Foods, or a Kiosk(which is in King Sooper’s here) and try to do a lot better… I’m sure I will succeed.

I love this place and this store, they are always friendly and helpful. I love, love, love their red velvet cake and always buy it when they have it i stock. It’s well worth the price and really filling. I like to freeze it and it taste like ice cream cake. We’re always buy their hambones to make soup and get the box kit with beans. At one time we ate ham bone soup every week for 3 months straight. I get on a kick with things when I’m craving them and eat it till I satisfy my taste buds. This place is our go to spot around the winter when we love eating split pea and ham soup.

We stoped by here a few days before Christmas to pick up a ham. There was a bit of the line inside the store, but it moved pretty quickly. They had samples of their smoked turkey, which was quite yummy. We picked up our ham, some turkey, our sides, and were on our way. The lady who checked us out was nice, and she rang up a coupon for us(that we didn’t bring) after we asked. Saving $ 10 because an employee made it so? Awesome! There are two stores about equal distance from us, but this one definitely gets our business every time.

Hubby and I decided we wanted ham. Mmmm Honeybaked Ham. Typically we buy the mini-ham which ranges $ 29 to $ 40. When I walked in to the Honeybaked Ham store yesterday, I was told that they are having a ham sale. I can get a half ham for the price of a mini-ham. I took one look at the sizes of the two and was sold on the big one. So, I walked out of there with a $ 60 ham, but only paid $ 40. Yea, that’s what I call a great deal. Why is it on sale? Perhaps because it’s Lent? I don’t like to bother with the sides(except maybe for the apples, which have way too much goo per apple). Make your own sides, grab a ham and have a feast — for no reason other than yum.

It’s slow season for another month so service was good. During Thanksgiving and Christmas it can get busy. They do a pretty good job of moving things a long during the busy season. I did just find out that stopped putting the delicious sweet and crunchy top of the ham in with the sliced ham packages. Too many people with allergic reactions ruining all the good food, cause there they’re too lazy to cook. That’s messed up. Anyway the ham is still good just not as good. Probably won’t do thanksgiving this year. Thanks lazy people with allergies. There was a couple times my wife went there at 5:45(open till 6pm) and they were already closed and went home. Other than that it’s an OK place to get ham if your lazy and don’t want to cook and have allergies. Since they got rid of the Honeybaked in the Ham it’s not the same. Taste like any other ham too bad so sad.
