Golden Trophy & Awards

Showed up here at 11am and the neon sign says OPEN. I try the door and it’s locked. In the window it has a sign says closed until 12:15. As I’m walking back to the car a man opens the door and said were you waiting? I then went inside this dark cluttered show room. Random awards and trophies everywhere with no organization. I asked if they had the plastic lapel pin presentation boxes and he had no idea what I meant. He puts me on his cell phone to a woman who took awhile to understand. She then says they have to order them in groups of 100. I said I can get them online individually but didn’t want to wait for shipping.
The guy then told me I should try other award stores. I did and found one that has them and well priced.

I wanted to say thank you for such an awesome plaque. This was very special to my brothers and myself to give to another brother. You were very military friendly and timely. The price was very fair. The quality of work was excellent. Thank you for a job well done.

Needed a special award plaque with logos and verbiage within 3 days and Frances delivered a perfect plaque with excellent service! Will return to Frances for more great opportunities. Thank you, Frances. :)

I came here twice to placed an order for 3 plaques, neither to say the qualities of the customer service and the plaque are HORRIBLE! The plaques came with scratches and fingers print on it, the glues was all over the plaques. There was no cleaning after it was assembled. I wanted to support the Vietnamese community by placing an order with Golden Trophy but I am so DISAPPOINTED! I believe Francis is the owner, she was late on my order for 2 weeks and over charged. I know they should charge a little more since its for corporation but triple the price is unnecessary. Not only you lose me as a customer but throughout our organization. I would give Golden trophy a zero but Unilocal forced us to rate so to me this is a ZERO for customer service and quality.

I do not like to give negative reviews but I just had such a bad experience with them…
I put in my order a week ago and the owner? (Francis) informed me that it would be ready in about a week. She said someone would give me a call when it is ready but even after a week, I did not receive any calls. I have decided to call them instead. I gave them my name and they could not find my order. It took them literally 10 minutes to find my order and to tell me that it is ready for pick up. They also told me they open at 10:00am the following morning.
So the next day, I go to the shop a little past 10:00 am. There is a sign that says «We will return at 11:00. Since I skipped work in the morning, I decide to just wait in the car for an hour. An hour passes and the door is still closed. Then 10 minutes… 15 minutes passes by. After waiting an HOUR AND A HALF in my car, a man comes and opens the door.
I tell the man that I have been waiting for an hour and a half and he says, «oh… okay.» NO APOLOGY, nothing! They are very unreliable and unprofessional.
In regards to the engraving on the trophy I ordered, it was not exactly as I hoped for. Just mediocre.
To end with a positive note, Francis, who initially took my order was very informative and helpful.

We needed two plaques ASAP and they were very helpful. Their price is very reasonable.

I came here to make a custom award for a friend’s birthday. I called ahead of time to check if they were open and they were.
When I came in, I was helped by Frances who was very helpful and friendly. I’m no expert on trophy award businesses but they had a wide selection of things and I found something for me.
Cost for the award itself was around $ 25 for the one I got and the cost per letter engraving was 25 cents. Total cost was about $ 35. They told me it would take about 5 days but they finished it in 2 days, way ahead of schedule.
I was very pleased with the work.

I found this shop on here and was impressed with the reviews so decided to go in.
How amazing to actually have customer service and affordable prices as the internet may be less expensive but you never know what your actually getting. I needed a desk plaque/​card holder for my husbands new position, I needed it by the next day I as told no problem I left a 50% deposit. I was amazed when I got a call 4 hours later that it was ready. I picked it up and was greeted by Frances. I was so impressed with the service and the plaque was perfect. I will definitely go back and will tell all my friends about it too. Great Place Great Work very professional they carry many items I have never seen so many promotional items all in one place the store was very clean and organized…

I called this place as it showed up second on my Unilocal nearest current location place since my first place i wanted turned out to be a dud. i called at around 10:30 and nobody picks up the phone and even another try 10 minutes later. idk maybe i’m having bad luck this morning cause the first place i called didn’t pick up either at opening time. so finally i call again at 11 and this old man picks up and i describe to him what i want which was engraving a 5 letter last name on 6 shot glasses. he told me he couldn’t tell from my description and he needed to see them. fair enough. i drove quickly there since i was nearby and when i came in the building i was kinda creeped out. the fake doorbell rang as i entered there was barely any lights on i think just one light in the back and then darkness with natural light from the like tiny bit of windows they had. i waited for like a little bit until this vampire Vietnamese man enters from the room. seriously this old man was pretty solid looking with dyed jet black Revlon #10 hair. i told him i was the one that called him and he nodded. i proceeded to show him my glasses and he looked at the glass with a frown and said «glass. very hard.» i asked him how much it would cost. «each letter. 2 dollar each. how long name? 6 glasses. 60 total. very expensive. if not good friend don’t get. i save you money. very expensive.» he kinda had a satisfied look on his face with one arm leaned over the glass. «i save you money.»
i slowly back stepped out until i reached the door, never taking my eyes off of him once. whimpered an «ok…» he probably didn’t even blink.

Came by on a Thursday to drop off two perpetual plaques to have new name plates added; on the recommendation of Unilocal of course. For plastic 1.5×2.5 plates engraved, I was quoted $ 24 total. I thought it was a tad expensive for what it was but I didn’t have time to find another trophy store. The old man I spoke to seemed quite uninterested, almost as if my presence in his store was a nuisance to him. He promised me the work would be ready for pickup the following Monday.
I didn’t hear from them on Monday so I stopped by Tuesday (the evening I needed to present the plaques). Frances was the only one in the store and she told me the cleaning lady threw away my order on accident. If they only looked on the plaque and googled the name of the school, they would have been able to get a hold of me and have the work resubmitted.
Frances assured me that it would be ready within the hour, though this caused a hiccup in my day as I needed to pick up and feed my baby girl while mommy was at work. My baby ended up falling asleep hungry that afternoon, I was not happy that she had to pay for their mistake. Frances charged me $ 10, after offering me a $ 5 discount.
After picking up my daughter, on my way back to the store, I recieve a call from Frances saying that the old man originally quoted me $ 24 and that she would need to charge me an additional $ 9 when I arrived to pick up the plaques.
I don’t appreciate stores pulling prices out of thin air and not truly being able to deliver on their product/​service. My future business just cost them $ 9. I would rather spend $ 30 for what needed to be done and have it done well and with some kind of passion than from this store.

Frances was incredibly helpful and accommodating! I had a rush order that needed to be done for a plaque for an award banquet and she got the whole thing beautifully done over the next day. The price was even better for the quality I received! Fast service, friendly family owned business, and excellent quality and large selection!

Did you ever see the movie «meet the fockers»? Remember the part when Robert Dinero is checking out the 7^th and 8^th place ribbons at Ben Stiller’s house and he says, «I didn’t know they gave out ribbons for 7^th place». Don’t know why, but this is what popped in my head before writing this review.
This place has all your trophy, plaque, and engraving needs. The owners/​operators of the shop are really awesome! I will provide a brief explanation why.
Picture this: Its Saturday, you have to work for a few hours in the morning and then are headed to Green Fields for Brazilian BBQ for lunch when your significant other calls you and asks if you can get something engraved for her friends birthday that is later in the evening. You reluctantly say «sure» because your mouth is watering thinking about the copious amounts of beef and other wonderful animal based protein products that your are scheduled to devour. In comes Unilocal search. I get all these places at Westminster mall that are unable to complete my requests… bummer! Ok, so I see that Golden Trophy is open and I call to see if they can complete my requests for engraving. I get there and the lady takes a look at the frame I want engraved and tells me that she can’t engrave it. BUUUTTTTT, unlike all the other places that sent me packing at the mall, she improvised and said, «we could put a plate on it». Why didn’t I think of that? And why the heck didn’t the other guys think of that. She takes my frame and tells me to come back at 3. I say of course and bolt out of there like Jody Foster in the accused because lunch is calling.
I was in some sort of man v. food meat coma because the next thing I know its a little after 3 and she calls me. I apologize profusely and say I will be there asap. Shazam! I am there and the frame looks wonderful. She isn’t mad at me either, which is cool. I am never late so I felt extremely bad but she was quite kind. And lets just say I wasn’t spending a lot of money either. So her patience, attention to detail, and improvisation was greatly appreciated.
So this story ends with a happy significant other, significant others friend, and bf because he had his Brazilian BBQ and got to eat it too!
