History

Established in 2014.

Owner, Matt Jewell, has over 22yrs experience in the Performance Car industry. He started his career at Maryland Performance Center just out of High School, but grew up going to the track, working on cars and building race cars with his father and older brother. He founded Maryland Street Racing Association in 2003 and was president from 2003 – 2009.He also organized Street Car Drag Races at ⁷⁵⁄₈₀ Dragway from 1991 – 2001. He worked for Frederick Performance from 2001 – 2003. He honed his skills and enhanced his knowledge at Maryland Performance Center from 1990 – 2001, then again from 2003 – 2014, when he decided to go out on his own. Matt has extensive knowledge in performance cars, rebuilding carburetors, and re-​curving and tuning distributors.
