Really would give NO stars. Horrible customer service along with poor quality furniture. So sorry I bought anything from them. Purchased sofa & chair delivered in January, chair upholstery on the top is lopsided, sofa has lumpy cushions & not upholstered properly. Had a service appt. never showed up. Do not walk but run away from this company… also false advertising. nothing really is ever on sale. always the same price. Watch their ads on TV, you will understand. I never trash companies, however I feel this one needs to go out of business or change their quality & customer service…

Bought a couch here in December. I was lookong for a gray couch. They had a nice selection in the store and I found several that I would have taken but every time they checked the availability of any couch I wanted they would tell me that it wouldn’t be in until mid to late January and a few of them they said February. The people in the store were very helpful but it was very discouraging that I couldn’t get any of the five couches that I liked. In the end one of the couches I liked also came in brown and that was available so I just took the brown one. They delivered it the following Wednesday with no issue. They arrived on time and called me a few times prior to delivery to confirm the time. If they would have had a better availability of the color I wanted then I would give this place 5 stars.

The other reviewers aren’t lying– this place’s customer service is the worst. If you like long waits, incorrectly ordered items, and wasting your time, this is the furniture store for you. We ordered new furniture in the whole house due to a flood. I’d say we spent $ 10,000 total with this transaction, and at least that much nine years ago when we bought our house. We ordered a couch but because of winter weather, it took three weeks before the delivery could be rescheduled. The couch was too big to fit up the stairs, so delivery was rescheduled until they could get a crane. We waited another three weeks(weather delays) only to find out they came again without the materials to hoist it up through the balcony. They came out a third time with the proper tools/man power to get the furniture upstairs. We ordered a bedroom set for which they sold us box springs and slats. The box springs were unnecessary but it was another $ 400 in their pocket. The box springs makde bed so high, I had to use the frame as a step to jump into the bed. We tried to decine them and just use the slats however, the slats were too short(how does that happen?), so we had to stick with the box springs. It took them 8 weeks to get correct slats and clear out the box springs. We added on a dresser to match the bedroom set. It too was back ordered for 8 weeks. When it finally arrived, Gardiners ordered the wrong dresser– it doesn’t match in the slightest. I am not waiting another 8 weeks for them to get it right, so we cancelled the order. Now they are giving us grief for not re-ordering. Get your sh*t together, Gardiners.

Bought dining room chairs, kitchenette tall table and chairs, and a dresser. I wasn’t home at the time of delivery, my wife was. When I got home, all the dresser drawers were slid open and wouldn’t stay closed. The leveler was left inside a drawer, so the unit couldn’t be adjusted. The delivery people told my wife WE were responsible for leveling the unit, not them. I’ve never had furniture delivered to my home that wasn’t properly set up before — it’s one of the reasons you have it delivered in the first place. Very disappointed. No, make that angry. i adjusted the review to take off the sofa, you’re right, that’s a problem with another store. It wasn’t the table that was the issue, it’s perfectly fine. Really like it, too. The DRESSER was the issue — it’s not level because they didn’t install the leveler, it was in one of the drawers. I will find a friend to help me turn over the dresser and install it, I don’t want another visit for something that should have been done the first time. Someone from your management team posted earlier that negative reviews are the ones that get the ink… that’s true, but there are plenty of furniture stores in the area who have at least three stars… but Gardiner’s isn’t one of them and it’s evident why. I only wish I had consulted Unilocal before we went shopping.

We were prepared to buy flat panel TV stand and new sectional. Customer service was poor. Linda seemed bothered by our questions and we felt that she was condescending and looked down on us. Definitely not willing to go the extra mile to help us get a stand that was not in stock at their location and would not let us buy the floor model. Do not plan on visiting again.

I’ve made three trips to this particular store this spring/summer and all three times I’ve been underwhelmed by the customer service there. Most of the staff are sitting around in the reclining chair section just talking /hanging out. We were helped by a «new guy» who had obviously not been trained or told how to communicate with potential customers. The employee constantly referred to me as «man», «buddy» or «brother». That’s not the way to communicate with a potential customer. I also had to repeat a question to this person two separate times because he either forgot or didn’t listen when I asked. When I inquired about a previously mentioned discount for paying with cash or check, the sales rep looked a me like I was crazy for asking about a discount. At this point of my visit I was not surprised. Ridiculous. Needless to say I did not buy from this store. I called all the other Baltimore area stores and received MUCH better customer service at the Towson store. The Towson store had the couch I wanted at a lower ticket price than the Westminster store AND they honored the 3% discount for paying with cash/check.(So yes, it does exist). Westminster Gardiner’s, you need to step up and rethink your sales team and sales methods because they’re both sub-par.

Stay away! This is not a reputable company. Bought a mattress set the offered a $ 200 rebate with purchase. I have been waiting 9 months, complained to the store and their corporate office. No response from the corporate office at all. I have been promised the rebate by the salesperson but never received it. If you call the store and ask for the manager you get, «he’s with a customer right now, I will have him call you back.» No he won’t, he knows they are ripping you off and is afraid of answering the phone. Once they get your money, tough luck if you have a problem! Update: Received my $ 200 gift cards today after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Had to go to the store to pick them up. Gardiners claimed the gift cards were in the mail a month ago but were returned as they went to a wrong address and were refused. Untrue, I have been at the same address for 10 years. It is the same address that they have delivered furniture to multiple times. Same address that they send the bills for the furniture to. So to make this as inconvenient as possible, they make me drive down there to get the cards. I have expended well over $ 200 of my time and aggravation to get this resolved. If business is so good that you can mistreat customers and run them off to the competition, good for you.

If they had a rating less than 1 star I would give that. Bought a fireplace insert from them and waited 2 months for it. Was not the produced showed in the showroom. The sales person sold us a frame that was not what we asked for. When we tried to return the frame we were told it was special ordered and no credits. My husband finally was able to meet with the manage who had to bring on front of the consumer board. After much nonsense we were able to get our money back for the frame. I would never shop here again and would not recommend to anyone!!! Save your money and aggravation

We thought to check this place out on a Sunday. perhaps this would be the day we bought found a couch that met our needs and we could both agree on. We went in, we are promptly greeted and we looked around. After much debate we found a couch, a red one that would work perfectly, leather and all. We bought it and bought the warranty on it and said we will pick it up ourselves. We paid and headed to the warehouse to pickup the couch. We waited for 20 mins, they brought out the couch in crabboard and plastic wrap as a brand new couch should be, loaded it into our SUV and sent us on our merry way home. Excellent, no? No! We got the sofa to our front door and decided to open it up, free of the cardboard and plastic wrapping so we can haul it upsatirs… alas there it was… in the 110 degree of humid heat we see the giant rip in the sofa. So we can;t leave it outside, we haul it up 3 flights of stairs. Then we say well we got the warranty and they gave us a ripped one so let’s call and fix this. No…we were wrong. We were told we need to pay for delievery, they would not give us a replacement nor fix the existing couch we bought an hour ago?!! what!!! so we ask, how about using the warranty? no, it does not apply… so the warranty you just signed us up for, happily charged for… does not do anything? nope. Okay…at this point I sincerely wished my husband would give me the phone so I can scream at someone. How unprofessional and stupid can you be? We finally mamaged to come to terms on having the couch picked up friday and fixed. Well, no they changed their mind and gave us a new one. we paid for delievery and yes, we cancelled the warranty on the couch. Will I EVER shop here again? I do not even need to answer that question.

Worsr furniture store in carroll county. worse in MD… worse in US ! Bought a very expensive dining room set. few weeks later wooden chairs began to chip. Gardiner rep said(and I quote) «that set is for SHOW, not regular useage» enough said
