Budget Unit Storage

Great place! First time I have used a self storage. I found them online and liked how they also do u haul. Called in the morning and asked if they have available units. CJ was very nice and helpful. I came in around noon and she showed me the unit which is a 4×10 first floor for $ 70mo. Slightly higher price then I found elsewhere, but the customer service and security of the location convinced me. Rented the uhaul for $ 20 and bought their safety lock for $ 10.
The inside is air conditioned and plenty of carts. Lighting is a bit tough but not terrible. First time renters can get 3 months for the price of 2 months. Only negative is the price, but everything else is a slam dunk. I highly recommend!

I recently used Budget Storage to rent a Uhaul truck and was thrilled on the customer service. Not only were the two people (Michael and CJ) extremely friendly and helpful, the service was incredibly great and convenient.

Do not let the cheap price fool you! They are very rude, sometimes incompetent, and not consistent with their late charges. When I first opened my unit, the man (I guess Michael) could not figure out how to put my card on automatic debit. I stood there for nearly 30 minutes until he just conceded that he couldn’t figure it out. Then, I was told that payment was due by the 10^th of the month. So, why was I charged a late fee when I called to pay on the 7^th? I also just recently called (at the begninning of the month) and left a message to tell them that my card on file was no longer active and that I was waiting for a new card to give them. I asked them to call me back to let me know how I should take care of my payment and if I could pay at a slightly later date. No return call. A week later I called to pay and was surprised to learn that they were charging me a late fee. When I requested that they remove the fee because I had called asking them to provide me with a preferred alternate payment or let me know if paying a little later would be an issue, they refused and condescendingly suggested that I could have dropped by with cash. I no longer live locally, so «dropping by» as he suggested was not possible. Had they bothered to call me back in the first place, I could have made other payment arrangements.
I’m beginning the search to find a place with better business practices.

Great storage place. The new managers CJ and her husband Michael have pride in their business. When I chose too small a unit for my belongings and it all wouldn’t fit, they were happy to transfer me to a larger one and even worked with me on the price. Michael sweeps the drive and picks up any litter. CJ treats me like her favorite son. They both run the office efficiently and in a friendly manner. Michael also addressed two minor maintenance issues immediately. So for safe, friendly, clean, easy access storage (to the 405 freeway) this is the place.
