AMC Westminster Promenade 24

This theater is pretty terrible. There was a huge line when we got there and they had 1 person selling movie tickets. It took forever. The bathroom was so foul and obviously isn’t cleaned regularly. They are very understaffed and it really shows. I won’t return.

It get 2 stars because the people are nice, but as for that I can’t believe believe they charge the same price as other AMC theaters, there was candy on one sets a wet spot on the set next me also this place has not been updated in 20 years, the lobby is a sad disappointment and has no wow factor at all. i will not be coming back. When the lights are on it Looks like a use truck stop bathroom.

I took my granddaughter last Saturday to see «The Forest» at the Westminster AMC at around 1:30 pm. The lobby was disgusting, filthy & the service was terrible. I can’t believe AMC would allow one of their theaters to serve the public in a disgusting condition like this was in… I went to the snack bar to complain & the young lady told me they only had two people working so they couldn’t help it. I counted eight different uniformed employees during the time I was there so that was not true. I am very disappointed in AMC Theaters for allowing this. There was even a disgusting mop bucket with dirty water & a dirty mop in it sitting at the water fountain. Something should be done about this theater!!!

I go to a ton of movies and know a good AMC theater when I see one.
This is by far the worst. I’m almost considering getting a refund but I’m so tired and just want to enjoy a movie.
Just walking from the front door to the theater has a bathroom urine smell. Very dingy, musty smell in the hall. I was hoping when I passed the bathroom that it would go away. Nope.
I am the only one in my 10:35 pm movie so far and the theater is a mess. popcorn everywhere, cups still in cup holders. And the dingy smell just as bad in here.
$ 10+ for this?
I can get over the not clean thing. I’m just used to them cleaning it right after a show lets out, but the smell is just gross!
if you can get past the dingy smell, then come here. I’m gonna stick with Foothills AMC. They have recliners anyway and it doesn’t smell and it’s always clean when I go in for my movie. I feel I get my money’s worth over there. This feels more like a dollar theater.

This is the biggest movie theater in all of Colorado for attendance and viewership. My dealership runs commercials in there. They have multiple concessions and I’ve never seen any of them open EVER! Not but one the entire year. This sucks because it’s the busiest movie theater. Managed poorly makes me want to travel further to watch somewhere else.

Fuck this place right now. 3 rows of people trying to get in with only one ticket taker. Understaffed for concessions with huge lines of people not knowing where to go. I came a hour ahead of show time and we still dont have what we need. This place has no idea how to staff for the weekend. FUCK YOU

Pretty nice theater, the only thing i wish is that the lights outside to keep people warm in the winter had the bulbs replaced, pretty good theater tho and the imax was great

We went to this theater to watch the 70 mm print of Tarentino’s The Hateful Eight. After this experience, it is obvious they should have chosen another venue for Denver. This theater was not at ALL up to the task. But before I get to the issues with the presentation of the film itself, there are several other issues I have to address about this obviously poorly managed theater.
Now, our group of five went to the 7pm showing on a Saturday night. So, we were prepared for a busy crowd. But they obviously weren’t prepared for even the modest, non-​opening night crowd that we experienced. First, we went to the automated ticket station to print our tickets. Only one of the several machines was working, so there was a long queue to print tickets. Then, the card reader refused to read three different cards belonging to different people before finally one of us was able to buy the tickets for the whole group. There was nothing to let us know that we missed getting the souvenir program by using the automated machine. Luckily we were able to pick them up from guest services after the show, but customers who used the box office were given them at time of purchase. Maybe they could have given the overtaxed ticket taker yet another job to avoid this problem. (Sarcasm, see the next paragraph).
Then it was time to go inside. They completely mismanaged the ticket taker station, something that was completely baffling. People were in a lengthy snaking line to try and get more than five to ten feet inside of the building, because they had only one person taking tickets and handing out 3D glasses for the iMax show. I’ve never seen that done at the door to the building at a theater where there were over 30 screens and only a handful of movies requiring glasses. (It’s always at the entrance to each auditorium). This single, slow person had to determine who needed glasses and who didn’t and it took us 10 minutes just to get inside. They finally added a second ticket taker right as we got to the front of the line.
Next came the concessions. They were completely out of ice for beverages, so we had to settle for a lukewarm cherry coke. I also didn’t think it was possible for sour patch kids to go bad, but these were possibly the most stale tasting candies I’ve ever had. Later, during the intermission, I went out to get a drink refill. They were stocked on ice, by then, but all of the automated drink stations save one were completely out of Coke, forcing me to wait in multiple lines before getting my drink. The two visible concession employees were, of course, standing around flirting instead of stocking items, or changing the syrup bags which obviously had been neglected for some time (each station had multiple Coke slots and all, save one, were empty).
Our showing was in auditorium 20. The auditorium itself was the worst designed movie auditorium I have ever seen. There were at least four, maybe more, seats with partially obstructed views due to the stairway partition going well above eye level. So if you sat in either of the top corners, better hope you don’t mind craning your neck trying to ignore the giant wall blocking your view. That is completely unacceptable, of course, but of course the fault here lies with AMC corporate for having their building designed in such a faulty way.
The rest of the issues, however were squarely on the local management. The bathroom was utterly filthy. Now, during busy times it’s somewhat expected that they get messy in a crowded multiplex. But when I went in, again during the intermission, it had now reached off peak times. The lobby was basically empty, and there was no excuse for not sending someone to address the issues. Trash on every possible surface, wet floors of unknown origin, and stalls that were rendered unusable by waste, trash, and unflushed toilets.
Finally, and certainly the worst part of the whole experience, they failed to run the 70 mm projector correctly for the film. If you’re going to get a limited release analog film print of a major movie then you better make sure that your staff is properly trained to handle the task. These folks clearly were not. They managed to completely forget to switch reels about ¾ths of the way through the movie, so right in the middle of an exciting scene, it just cut to a blank screen, the audio stopped, and the movie cut off. We were left stranded for nearly 15 minutes until they started it back up again. No apology from the staff, no manager coming in the theater to explain the situation, nothing. Just a resumed movie after a long wait. This clearly wasn’t a mechanical error, it was simple negligence on the part of the projectionist.
All in all, between the broken or crippled vending machines, the inexplicable unnecessary lines, the disgusting restrooms, the negligent or apathetic employees, and the ruined movie, this is not a theater I will ever be returning to. Wish I could award zero stars.

Trying to find out some basic details about a movie, and when a special showing is, and no one, I repeat, no one will even answer the phone.
Fine.
I will go somewhere else.
Customer service stinks.

¡¡Drive an extra 10 minutes and go to AMC Flatirons!
We trekked down to this theater on Saturday to see a 3pm showing of The Hateful 8 in 70 mm. This place is pretty horribly managed and in a bad state for a seemingly modern cinema.
Problems:
— Understaffed throughout. Only one person letting folks in on a Saturday afternoon, and the concessions area had one person doing coffee, ice cream/​shakes; we waited 5 minutes to be served even though there was no line (the worker was very apologetic). We’d also tried calling ahead of time to ask a question — no one ever answered and I can now see why.
— Broken kiosks outside; only 2 out of 4 working. On top of that, we couldn’t retrieve our pre-​bought tickets there after waiting in line. We had to go to customer service (and wait in line there).
— Unlike other AMC theaters in the area, no possibility of having your tickets on your phone and scanned by a reader to get in. They have to be physically printed.
— No paper towels in the ladies’ room, broken frozen yogurt machine, no mention of the Hateful 8 70 mm Roadshow booklet we could pick up (from a non-​descript cardboard box laying around on the floor by the video game area). The frozen yogurt we got, btw, was inedible.
— The seats we picked had old popcorn in them and a dirty tissue in the cup holder. They clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous showing.
It feels like this place is run entirely on the cheap and like there is no message of professionalism coming from management, in stark contrast to the other AMC’s in the area. Half the employees looked bewildered and over-​busy, the other half looked seriously under-​age and totally uninterested.

We saw the Hateful Eight here for the special 70 mm presentation. The theater was nice and seats were comfy.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the floor was sticky and felt like we were walking on tape.

With the price we paid to see a movie, we were very disappointed in the service at the concession. All drinks are self service, yet it still took over 20 minutes just to purchase the overpriced cup.
Also, the bathrooms are extremely filthy. I would suggest bringing your own disinfectant, it doesn’t appear they have been cleaned in a long time.

WORST movie experience of my life! We waited in the absolute freezing cold for 20 minutes to get the tickets we had already paid for out of one of the only working vending machines. Another customer went inside for assistance as he was concerned he would miss the start of his film and was told they were starting late and that the three non-​working machines all had broken paper cutters– doubtful. As he stated, chances are much better that the machines were out of paper. Based on what we found inside, I wish we had taken that as a warning and left!
Once inside, we experienced utter chaos and disarray. My husband headed to the bathroom and I went to grab a soda from the concession. I found exactly 3 people working the registers at the concession during the afternoon between Christmas and New Years! There were 4 people stationed to microwave chicken tenders and pizza which no one was ordering, but clearly since no one was in charge, they had no direction and just stood there while a line 40 people deep snaked around the concession area. Most people ate all of their popcorn before ever reaching the register.
My husband took my spot in line and I ran to the bathroom so we wouldn’t be late for the film… Starting in 5 minutes!
The bathrooms were beyond filthy, with toilets overflowing, and a long line of unhappy women waiting. I noticed trash bins literally overflowing so much with debris that the piles reached to the floor. Only two of the 12 or so automatic faucets were working and those sinks were overflowing with dirty water that was not draining. Several elderly woman and one handicapped on crutches left as it was clearly unsafe for them.
After finally making it out of that hell of a bathroom, I nearly killed myself in a scene right out of Looney Tunes as I stepped back into the butter slathered hard surface with my boots covered in the dubious water from the bathroom floor. Once I found my bearings, my husband and others around us all went through the same death defying experience.
Now that my back was out of whack and my shoes covered in gawd knows what, we really were looking forward to sitting down with our overpriced beverage that took 20 minutes to acquire, with the tickets we waited an additional 20 minutes to obtain. So we walked into the theater happy to know that there should be a good twenty minutes of previews still to go, and with the shit storm going on in the lobby, maybe some ok seats too.
WRONG! The theater was completely full. Every last seat! Were we in the right one?! YOU BET! And there were even people sitting on the stairs throughly the theater. In the clear chaos, people were obviously inviting themselves to enjoy a film that they hadn’t even paid for, and no one was going to do anything about it! Did I mention that the film had already begun?! That is right. Apparently this film is the only one in America to have absolutely no previews, as we walked in 5 minutes late and the film was about 10 minutes in. The lights were on and doors open, but the film had very much begun… AWHILE ago! We had no place to sit and somehow missed the beginning despite arriving about 45 minutes early.
We were beyond disappointed at this point and navigated the deadly buttered floor back to the customer service desk that was bustling with pissed off people looking for refunds for a whole host of issues. We were issued a prompt refund by a terrified teenager who shouldn’t have been made to work under those conditions. We asked for a refund for the overpriced soda as well, the «manager» (perhaps? As she was the only employee past the age of 17) asked for our receipt?! Seriously who the hell asks for, or saves a recipe for $ 1.00 of soda that they were just conned into paying $ 6.00 for?! No one wants to be reminded of that. She proceeded to go further hold up the concessions line with our soda in hand so she could somehow validate that it was purchased there. No apologies were given, no one at customer svc even inquired as to why we were asking for a refund. It was clear.
All in all, we spent an hour and a half at the theater. We left via the buttery floor, barely managing not to kill ourselves for a third time, with questionable residue on our shoes, having been thoroughly frustrated, freezing and appalled for 90 minutes. We left angry and disappointed, agitated and confused. I don’t think this is the way anyone should be made to feel after visiting a movie theater. Not to mention that we also loaned the theater $ 35.00 that will not be refunded back to our credit card for a good 7 – 10 days.
This place is a complete joke. The management… If there is any, should be fired and the owners should be completely ashamed of themselves.
I would also add that the city of Westminster should be ashamed of themselves for not having their health department and Fire Marshall inspect this facility as it was clearly unsafe, over capacity, and unfit for the public.

This is one of the worst movie experiences. I bought tickets online, there was a 10 minute wait to just print the tickets, 25 minute wait for food, they overcharged my credit card and then another 20 minutes to get drinks. The only reason I came is I was given a gift card, in the future I will give the gift card to someone else. Not coming back

The absolute worst theater experience I have had in my fifty years of living. AMC oversold the room so my wife and I had to stand through the movie, until we couldn’t accept it any longer. Half the kiosks were broker AND nearly half the ticket windows were vacant (I note this was *during* Star Wars 2^nd weekend, tho we’re here for Hateful Eight 70mm). I do not have the words for how awful AMC Westminster 24 has become as a theater. I can only assure never to return.

Horrible experience today. Grossly understaffed, the lobby is a major safety hazard with small kids with all the water, lines with hundreds of people, all 6 of the kiosks out of order. So disappointing.

Wow when I think about the years I have been here I automatically think of the hundreds of movie experiences I have enjoyed here. I have enjoyed this theater. It isn’t always the cleanest, or well managed, but I have had way more memories in this place that were good than bad. I give it 4 stars because of the times the bathrooms aren’t clean, the food being yucky and over priced and sometimes poor customer service but it is still a great theater.

Came here for a Christmas Day movie to see Into The Woods. We haven’t been here in awhile and I get that it’s busy, but this place was a total wreck. The concession stands are a nightmare as you cue up for popcorn and drinks. The self service set up has you first to get in line and then «grab & go» your popcorn. I step out to grab my small popcorn and immediately lose my place in line.
There is food all over the floors, popcorn, butter and drinks spilled on the condiment stations and frustration on part of the staff as I witnessed the popcorn guy yell at a patron as she snuck more popcorn from a bucket to top off her bag. She shot back that he hadn’t filled the bag and he responded that what she did was not sanitary… Really? Did he not see the state of the concession area? Obviously, there is a severe management problem, they were fully staffed, but no one was assigned to clean.
If I could suggest a solution, the self service is chaotic, it needs to be changed back to one on one service. This was once one of the best theaters north of Denver… not so much now.

This is a big movie theater, probably visible from space, and situated on the western side of the Westminster Promenade shopping center/​pedestrian mall/​conglomeration of multiple unrelated businesses. The prices are a bit higher at this theater than you might find at other locations farther from highways or the ubiquitous «dinner and a movie» date night locations like the hibachi place or the quaint Italian joint, but the theaters are clean and they have a lot of showings.
They have automated ticket kiosks where you can theoretically pick up previously-​booked tickets or buy them without having to talk to an actual person if that’s your thing, but they aren’t always entirely functional so you might just skip it and wait in the regular queue. They’re pretty quick and efficient about it, so you won’t be waiting long. Even if the line is a little longer, they have heat lamps up above to keep you toasty when there’s a chill in the air.
The main doors open to a cavernous lobby you could probably fit Godzilla into, though the drink sizes don’t include Oil Tanker-​like volumes so he’d probably be getting a lot of refills from the self-​service drink kiosks. These allow people to custom-​craft their drink from a list of base flavors and syrup additions, all via a touchscreen interface that everyone must queue up once again to use. So if there’s a long line or a couple of indecisive people scrolling through the approximately 9.786.27 theoretical different combinatory mixes of soft drinks, you might be waiting a minute.
They have a cafeteria, of sorts, in lieu of your standard concessions stand, which is again, a blessing and a curse. You can have a Philly Cheesesteak instead of a hot dog, or covered and smothered nacho cheese waffle fries instead of a bag of corn chips with hot cheese and your choice of jalapeños or no jalapeños. Or you can have a hot dog or some nachos, if more standard fare is your thing. The downside? It takes them a little while to make the waffle fries or what-​have-​you, because they do it to order. So have someone reserve a seat while you wait in the line.
They have a bar, called McGuffin’s, and it has a full selection of beer, wine, and cocktails that you’re perfectly welcome to take into the theater with you. Is it more expensive than your average drink at the brewery across the parking lot? Yes. But this beer is also not a craft brew, and it’s served in a plastic cup. Why get it, you ask? It’s the only beer you can carry into the movie with you (legally) and Coca-​Cola isn’t going to help you through another wretched two-​and-​a-​half-​hour Kristen Stewart mope-​fest about a weepy girl obsessing over a sparkling otherworldly man five times her age, or whatever the latest teenie-​bopper obsession you agreed to take your wayward offspring to see.
The service is friendly, which is good, because all the prices, from the tickets to the fancy sandwiches to the sodas to the beers are a bit high in my estimation, but I’m pretty likely to return to sample them once again, high prices or no. The theaters are also clean, which is a must for repeat business. Early showings are cheaper because movie theaters do that all the time, but you’ll still pay an arm for your drink and a leg for that midday beer you’ll need to either celebrate or bemoan George Lucas selling the rights for Star Wars to Disney.
