1978, I came to the United States as a Chinese immigrant from Taiwan speaking only Mandarin but upon arrival, I quickly picked up English. I went to junior high and high school in Laguna Hills, California and began window tinting sophomore year in high school. I started tinting my family and friends’ cars during high school and found out that it was a good source of income, so I continued tinting as a part time job till 21. Then, I decided to open my first shop location in Gardena, but decided in October of 1988 to move my shop, «Alpine Window Tinting», to 17 214 Beach Blvd. in Huntington Beach which I operated for five years. With kids growing up in school and bad economy of 1993, I made a decision to sell my shop and start mobile tinting rather then working in one location, so I can have the flexibility of time to accommodate business and family. With the «deepening economic crisis 2009», I am glad that I have been mobile window tinting for seventeen years.
