Established in 1991.

Andy Nguyen, the business owner, fulfilled his dreams by opening the doors of his own auto body shop; A&D being named after wife, Darlene, and himself. With over 25 years of experience in the field, Andy and his shop delivered top-​notch customer satisfaction over the years to thousands of customers. To this day, A&D prides itself on bringing the same excellent service and value to all of our customers.

With the launch of his very own TV show, «The Motor Man Show», as seen on VHN-​TV (DirecTV), LSTV, Roku, & YouTube– clients from all over the nation have entrusted their vehicles in the hands of Andy and A&D. This show allows Andy to teach the average person how to fix and repair their own car from anywhere in the world, all free of charge!

I went there this morning then I met Andy. He is very honest person I’ve ever met. He knows exactly everything technical knowledgeable. We had done with two Accords timing belts at this shop and they changed everything parts from dealer. I’ll come back here for next service. Five stars vote!!!

I was involved in an accident with my Mercedes and was referred to this place for body repair. Needless to say, I was skeptical since I had never heard of them and I live several hours away. I usually only go to a Mercedes dealer.
Well, Andy was the best! I could tell right away that he had integrity and was trustworthy. He not only did an incredible job with the repair but did a few extra things without charging me. In the future, I will do everything I can to come here with any auto repair or body work needs and will refer my family and friends.
Its hard to find someone you trust in this industry, but this place and Andy are the real deal.

If you’re looking for an honest mechanic with the best rates you can find, you’ve hit the jackpot!
I only became responsible for my own car this year, and as a young female who knows nothing about cars, I’ve been really anxious about auto shops scamming me for all I’m worth. I finally made myself get my car looked at before it exploded, and Andy was more help than I could have hoped for.
I told him I didn’t know what was wrong with my car other than needing an oil change, so he said he’d take a look and was kind enough to give me a water bottle while I waited. I’ve pretty much been ignoring my car’s maintenance as if not thinking about it would prevent anything from going wrong, and expected to pay a ton for it in repairs now.
When he came back he told me he would change my oil, but there were so many problems with my car that it would be better if I saved my money for another car instead. I was more surprised that he was telling me this than the news itself! He pointed out to me which parts were broken, how much he’d charge to repair, and gave me a timeframe on how long I could keep driving my car safely (so I’d know how much time I have to save up).
He also told me I needed to replace at least two of my tires asap but he didn’t have them, and pointed me to Lee’s USA Tire Club up the block to buy used ones for a good deal. After he changed my oil, he then taught me how to check it myself and let me keep his rag for wiping the oil stick off. I’m still floored by the level of personal caring. Even with finding out my car is a garbage death trap, I’m still thrilled about having found an auto center I can trust!
(also, bonus points for not scolding me about not learning Vietnamese like with every other customer service experience I have in Little Saigon)

Andy (Alex) (I think his name is), the owner, is a super friendly guy and is very honest. I would not go anywhere else now that I know of this place.
His prices are very competitive and he will do the work until the car is fixed.
He helped my mother with a very expensive job and he did it for a great price.
I will recommend this place to a friend
And to the person below who said that he doesnt use Honda Parts… You are wrong. OEM IS HONDA PARTS! It stands for ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER. And also, Honda uses BANDO belts because they are the best! Bando IS NOT CHEAP. So, please educate yourself before you call a person a liar.

I brought my Honda Accord 2006 to this shop to change timing belt. Unfortunately, I had very bad experience because the owner was NOT honest. He gave me a quote of $ 720 for both labor and DEALER parts. I fixed at his shop because he promised to use DEALER parts. When I picked up my car, I asked him to write down that he changed with dealer parts, but he just wrote «OEM». When my brother called him, he said that OEM is Honda part; and he told us that if we checked with the flash light, we will see the brand «Honda» on the parts. How could we check anything beside the Serpentine Drive Belt? Sadly, when we checked the Serpentine Drive Belt and it is NOT Honda part (it is a cheap Bando belt). If he did not use Honda part for the belt, I did not think he used Honda parts for others components. Nor did he changed all the parts as he promised. We called and asked him nicely to show us the invoice, but he refused and raised his voice. If he was honest, he could show me the invoice. After, I know what he did to my car, I check my brother car, which he replaced the starter (also promised honda part). It is not either.
He has all 5 stars reviews before; I just wonder, how lucky they were. I think he should remove it from his ads.

I found this Angel on Unilocal last year when what I thought was a transmission problem with my car. Took it in to Andy and he quoted me about $ 2600 for a tranny repair. I told him to go ahead and fix it. Low and behold he had some amazingly good news for me, it was a wiring problem. He saved me $ 2000. I was so happy that I actually cried. How often do you get a mechanic that you can actually trust? Took my car back again this week to have the power windows fixed and also asked him to check my A/​C since it hadn’t worked for many years. I was told it was going to be expensive for the problem with the A/​C so I said just fix the windows. He called to tell me he could fix EVERYTHING for $ 500. Andy is the most honest mechanic on this planet. I highly recommend A&D for any problem you have with your car. BTW he also gave me 50% off labor! Who does that? Thank you so much Andy for all you have done for me. You’re a life saver!

Bought a used car a month ago. Had it recently inspected at another shop in Irvine just to make sure everything was okay and unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I had a long list of strongly recommended replacements. Since one of the replacements (a timing belt) would take a while, I had to find someone to give me a ride from the shop. A friend who lived in Westminster volunteered and since I didn’t want him to drive too far, I decided to find a shop in Westminster.
Anyways, I called and got a quote from Andy. It was lower than most so I chose him. I gave him the list that the Irvine shop gave me to show him what I wanted done.
After looking at the other shop’s estimates, he suddenly said he couldn’t replace the valve cover even though he said before that was included on the phone. He realized he was making 50 less than the other shop. I was a little annoyed that he was suddenly going against what he said hours ago but I let it slide.
The next day when I picked up the car, he told me that he ended up replacing the valve cover anyway for free since it would start leaking and mess up other parts of the car. That’s the honest part other reviews have been talking about. He could’ve left the cover alone and waited for me to come back to fix it to profit more but he didn’t. Not many mechanics operate like that.
Ignore the shady area A&D is located at and give Andy, who’s been in business since 93′, a chance.

He is very trustworthy, and will not up-​sale you anything ever — if anything he actually tries to save you money on things that can be delayed/​or still ok to use without sacrificing your safety of course.

I choose to try A&D recently based on the reviews. I recently was in a wreck and my car was considered salvaged and so all this was out of pocket.
They gave me the pricing on what it would be to bring it back to spec, and also some suggestions on some minimal work.
I must say I am glad I went here. I was really comfortable with them, and I feel like they went the extra mile to make sure the problems in my car were solved within my budget. They gave me a great price, and I felt like they were both honest and fair. I will definitely go back to them if I have any trouble and feel confident recommending them to others.

I was referred to A & D by a friend after a run in with some freeway debris, literally. I called in and dropped off my car that morning. I met with Alex who inspected my car and gave me a rough estimate of the damages from what he could see. From there, I reported the claim to the insurance company. They sent out an adjuster and Andy, the head honcho, handled the rest. From drop off to pick up was about 8 days. And that’s with a car that was towed to the shop and in undrivabe condition. Great service. Good attitude. I will definitely be coming back for any of my auto repair needs.

I had gotten 5 estimates done to repair my bumper (wife did it, not me!), and Alex offered the most competitive price. He also offered the fastest turnaround time (24 hrs), and even stayed 30 minutes past his closing time to accommodate me. I picked up my car within 24 hours of dropping it off, and the repair was awesome. My bumper looked as if my owner didn’t run me into the garage wall because she misjudged the distance after living in the same place for 5 years. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

I am so glad that I found this shop and met Andy. He is truly an honest auto mechanic. I simply needed an oil change but turns out that the place I brought it to last over torqued the drain plug fusing the washer to the drain bolt but Andy went out of his way to fix the issue and he uses top quality synthetic oil in his oil changes. Even though the shop is a bit out of the way, I will continue to visit them for all my mechanical needs.

I went there few weeks ago to have my rims replaced because I damaged it when I took a left turn and hit the island. very unfortunate moment. So I met with andy and he suggested me that I leave the wheels there and he will have it replaced. He was very HONEST. yes thats the word HONEST person. he gave me a good reasonable quote and he was very friendly and very informative and professional. i have been ripped off by auto workshops before so I can tell now who’s being honest and who is trying to make you spend unnecessarily. and andy is the honest one. i would highly recommend this place if you want your car fixed without having to go through any troubles.

I have been going to A&D for over four years, and within those four years the owners, Andy and Alex (brothers), have always welcomed me with open arms. From a simple oil change, to fixing my entire car from an accident. They collaborated with AAA and finished my car in the estimated time frame. The prices were reasonable and they’re both so honest with the mechanical technicalities, that I am not familiarized with. I will continue to get service here. Especially since it’s so close to Asian Garden Mall… great place to kill time.

Came here for an oil change and to get an estimate to see how much it would cost to repaint my car. Andy quoted me at a great price and his son Duc did the oil change pretty quickly. Great and efficient service and honest pricing too. Will definitely come back.

I always mix up the two brothers. I like em both, but I like the guy who wears the hat backwards more… Only because I deal with him more. I’m neutral on the other guy. They are very honest and their prices are very cheap compared to many others. I have referred or brought 9 – 10 cars here already, whether they are 50 dollar buffing jobs or 1200 dollar jobs. I think if you pay cash you’ll get a slightly better deal. Once we asked what is your insurance price and cash price… (insurance price is higher because workers like to take advantage of insurance companies) and he said. i only have price. honest guy! Hope he’s still like that.
Their work is good. Ive seen companies that charge 3x more have the same results. Only thing is he says the paint work is guaranteed for about 3 years… to me 3 is a little short, although I’ve never had any issues with their paint after 3 years. Only one out of 9 – 10 cars did i see a slightly different shade of a color after he repainted it. Apparently I’m the only one in the family that can see it since they blend it pretty well. The car has a very unique color so i’m sure big companies would have the same issue.
The last car I took there was hit and dented by someone else in 3 different places, and there were scratch marks and scuff marks around the car. He buffed those off for us for free.
I took a few cars around the block (moran is known for auto body shops) and for a 900 dollar job, everyone else was between 1200 – 1500. imagine what a big company would’ve quoted.
More recently, I have seen them rush their job a little and it was a little messy. For the price, i’ll let it go.
They also do oil changes, brakes, transmission, etc. Brakes are about $ 120 – 150, depending on your car. This includes OEM pads from the dealer.
I’ll continue to refer friends and family here for body work, but not so sure for mechanical work. Theyre a tad pricier than others I know.
