I love our library. Plain and simple. The staff are so knowledgable and friendly. I will admit that I’ve started using the online app and reading more books online, but sometimes you need to just go in the building and wander. They have a small«store» where they sell used books and CDs, and I’ve found so many cool books in there, like the whole Baby Sitter’s Club collection(perfect for my tween niece) and cookbooks. A few times a year they will have a Food for Fines promo, where you can donate food to a shelter and get your late fees wiped out. I also like their lectures, clubs, and special events. When my kids were little we always took advantage of story time and other offerings. I even attended a «Haunted Michigan» class and it was really interesting. Across from the reference desk is a small shelf of books that their librarians pick as their favorites. I frequently grab something from that section and have always enjoyed their selections. Dogging the city of Westland seems like a pretty popular thing to do, but don’t let these jokes and bad opinions stop you from visiting the library. It is pretty fabulous.

I love the atmosphere of this library. This is a great place to study or just sit and read. The book collection is pretty extensive. Only on occasions am I not able to find a book at this library, but then again I tend to go for very obscure reads.

This is a great library. I’ve heard that it is the newest and biggest in the area, but I don’t need to confirm it because everything I need is right here. I’ve been able to find all the books I’ve wanted to read. Anything they didn’t have, they could borrow from another library to lend to a patron. What a nifty setup! I love the ability to request books and renew due books on their website. There’s also a large childrens’ section that we haven’t checked out yet, but look forward to spending time in after a couple more years. Story times and other activities are also listed on their website.
