Dr Kane & Associates, PC

I searched through BCBS to find a Podiatrist who participated in my insurance plan so I could get my annual foot exam, then I spent an hour checking their backgrounds and reviews on the web. Finally, I made an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Gertesien, D.P.M. at Dr. Kane & Associates (AKA Westland Podiatry). Making the appointment was very easy and they were very flexible in scheduling around my work hours. Them morning I went in I had forgotten my insurance ID card, and the receptionist spent a good solid ½ hour on the phone tracking down the necessary information to get me in. That was truly above and beyond!
I got into the office and had x-​rays of my feet taken for a baseline (they were very good about explaining everything they were doing and why). Then I was given a foot «whirlpool bath», which was pretty enjoyable, and a technician even came around when it was over to dry off my feet for me. The Dr. reviewed the x-​rays and examined my feet, giving me advice on care and cleaning up some of the callouses on my heel. I really like Dr. Gerteisen’s «bedside manner «and the visit was a very informative. I’m looking forward to going back next year (nothing bad found wrong on this visit)!
