Ibi David Salon-Spa

This salon is amazing. When I first went there they were able to effectively fix a mistake another salon had made with my hair. The stylists are truly gifted and good at what they do. Everyone there is kind and makes you feel welcome and comfortable which is what a salon and spa should do! I’ve had so many bad experiences with salons over the past couple of years and finally I have found a place I can trust and feel comfortable going to. Emily is my stylist and she’s great! So happy I have found a salon I can trust that does an amazing job.

I received a gift card for this salon as a Christmas present and decided to get a spa pedicure. According to the front desk staff, this was a 90 minute service which included all the typical pedi hallmarks, but also an extra mask, massage, and set of hot towels. From the get-​go I was underwhelmed. While the receptionist was polite enough, she put out a very condescending vibe. My pedicurist came out and greeted me and was much friendlier than the receptionist. Before I continue, let me qualify what I’m about to say with the fact that I am a licensed salon professional myself, trained in an Aveda school, so I know what to look for and how to do her job. That being said, the pedicure itself was pretty terrible. She did not file my feet properly, I had to redo it when I got home. She didn’t take off all of my existing polish well enough. She didn’t push or nip my cuticles. She didn’t really massage my feet or legs. And I had three nails lose their polish in less than 3 days, which I assume is because she didn’t properly prep the nail before applying the polish. She also finished in 50 minutes, which is less time than the pedicure below the spa pedi.
All in all, I would not go back to this place. I didn’t even call and complain because I didn’t want to be offered another pedicure as reparation. I would have given them fewer stars, but my pedicurist was nice and polite and I liked her. She’s just very new, not confident enough yet, and needs to be more mindful of the steps she skips because when someone pays $ 60 for a spa service, they expect to have an amazing experience.

I’ve have gone to the same hair dresser for 4 years and then one day she just quit. I didn’t know what to do or where to go… I felt lost. I asked around to everyone to see where was a good place to go and I heard nothing but good things about Ibi David Salon so I decided to give it a shot. Today was my first color and cut there, it was warm, welcoming and I was greated by smiling faces. I had my color completed by Rachel and my cut by Ibi herself. I was nervous at first, hoping my hair wouldn’t turn out to be something I hated or looking like a disaster. The comfort of the entire place made that fear disappear right away… i felt like I was in good hands. The service alone was above and beyond making sure I was comfortable,(above part) hand and arm massage while my hair was toned!!! It was purely amazing! I felt pampered the moment I walked in and lasted the entire time I was there. The best part of all when it was all said and done… I fell in love with my hair again. Rachel and Ibi did wonders together and I couldn’t be happier! If you are thinking about trying this salon, I said do it! You are not going to regret it, you will love that you made the choice. I know I am, I’ll be a customer for life! Thank you!

Fantastic. I had gotten my hair cut here for years and only stopped because I moved out of town. The salon is beautiful and any of the spa experiences are calming, relaxing, and conducted by utmost professionals. The hair stylists are talented, kind, professional, and a pleasure to chat with. I have never had a bad haircut here and have received many compliments. I will really miss this salon. You all need to check it out!

I absolutely LOVE Ibi David Salon! Ibi David is an Aveda salon that offers hair, nail, waxing and spa services, and I’ve been taking advantage of all of those services for the last 3 years. The staff is kind, caring and very professional. I love that I’m usually greetd by name when I arrive for an appointment. Their commitment to keeping up with trends and new techniques really shows in the quality of the services provided, too. No matter what service I’m having done I feel very well taken care of and pampered. I also love that they don’t aggressively push products at customers just for the sake of making a sale. I’ve had a bad experience with a large Aveda salon in Westlake that is ruthless when it comes to selling product. My stylist’s and esthetician’s product recommendations have always been helpful and personal to my needs.
There are so few places that you can escape to for a few hours to just relax and do something nice for yourself. I would recommend Ibi David to anyone looking for a little getaway on the west side. You’ll walk out feeling relaxed and fabulous!
