Serendipity The Salon

My mom went to Dana to test her out before sending me there to get my hair cut and colored. This was supposed to be the final cut and color before my wedding, so I wanted to go to someone I knew would do a good job. My mom’s haircut looked really good so I made an appointment with Dana and showed her some pictures of how I wanted my hair to look. She suggested highlights. I’ve never had highlights before, but I assumed she knew what she was talking about so I said okay. I also asked her to trim my hair and layer the front. The haircut lasted literally two minutes and I was charged $ 65 for a full haircut. I was very disappointed about that. The highlights costed $ 120 but I was willing to pay a high cost to make my hair look good for the wedding. After I washed my hair the next day I was horrified at how terrible my hair looked; it was dry, blonde, stripy, and unnatural looking. I waited another day to message Dana to tell her how upset I was with the hair color. She told me I could come back so she could fix my hair for no charge, which is why I gave her two stars instead of one. She did a much better job on my hair color the second time, but she only made it one color and I wanted it to be dark with auburn throughout. I know never to get highlights again and I won’t go back to Dana.

I can’t say enough good things about KYLIE!!! I’ve seen her twice now, and each time I’ve requested totally different cuts and colors. Both times, she nailed it! She’s down to earth, great conversation, and most importantly you leave feeling beautiful! And she’s priced fairly! Can’t go wrong with Kylie at Serendipity The Salon!

Love this salon, friendly vibe, cozy and welcoming. I love all the stylists, great cuts and color done beautifully. I have been going to Marissa for too many years to remember, my whole family goes here too. I always get compliments on my color and I cannot take any of the credit! Jamie, Mandy and Janice do excellent work too, you cannot go wrong.

Hair stylist, Kylie Careno is absolutely amazing! I grew up in the Thousand Oaks area and have had my hair done by a few other stylists, and don’t have anything negative to say about those experiences, but I really love Kylie and her work! She is talented, funny, and kind. She really listens to me as a client and always applies her talent into making my hair beautiful. Last summer, she and an assistant did my hair and my wedding parties hair for my wedding. She was on time, reliable, fast, efficient, talented, relaxed, and just amazing. I now live in San Francisco, but come down regularly to visit family and to get my hair done by Kylie. If you are looking for a great stylist, who knows how to cut, color, and style, Kylie Careno is your girl!

I go to KYLIE for my color and I could not be happier! I’ve been dying my hair blonde for years and she is the absolute best at it! Whenever I want to change up my hair she always welcomes the change and gives me the best results every time (I dyed my tips aqua blue and later tinted my hair gray!) Her knowledge of hair coloring and cuts is astonishing!

I go to Mandy Maina for my color, she is amazing ! I understand that blonde is a tough color to master but Mandy has it down. Whenever I come in for a weave and blow-​out I leave with a big smile. Overall great experience here ! I recommend this salon to anyone in the Westlake Village area!

I have been going to Serendipity ever since they opened, and honest, I absolutely LOVE it and encourage all of my friends and family to go there. The stylists are professional, they do everything right the first time, make your hair look even better than what you originally thought would look good, and the staff are all-​around friendly and amazing people. Even when I broke my nose and couldn’t wash my own hair, they fit me in and washed it for me so I didn’t have to go with gross, greasy hair and a broken nose at the same time. They are absolutely lovely and so personal with their clients. I literally can’t go anywhere else because even if I went to Beverly Hills to some ridiculously pricey salon, it would never even be comparable to the customer service, technique, and personal touch that Serendipity has. I know if I go anywhere else I’m just settling. Seriously, I encourage everyone to check it out. You WON’T be disappointed.

Nice salon atmosphere, not loud and distracting, I can actually relax while I get my hair done. Cyndi is the best! Will always go back.
