Dr. Mikaelian has been a godsend to me. Over several months, he helped me to finally get rid of a very stubborn ear infection. Throughout this process, he made sure that his receptionist got me in to see him even on very busy days. He was also able to eventually identify the combination of medications I needed to eliminate my problem. I could not be happier with the results! I would highly recommend Dr. Mikaelian and his very kind staff to anyone needing an ENT. He is the absolute best!

Went to Dr. Mikaelian this morning. I was very impressed with his knowledge, bedside manner, and medical recommendations. He was thorough in explaining hearing issues, inner ear problems and sinus ailments, and had a plan of action that was reasonable and well thought out. I HIGHLY recommend him!

FANTASTIC RESULT!
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a couple of months, but anyway… here goes!
So, if your looking for perfection in all areas, professionalism, dedication and amazing results, HE IS YOUR GUY!
My daughter had horrible septum issues (way off center) plus bone spur and over-​enlarged turbinates on either side, plus a variety of other factors. She also wanted a small reduction of the bone to bring it more in line with her profile. This was an option to the surgery that she chose based on her wanting a more delicate profile. But the main reason for the surgery was terrible sinus infections that wouldn’t drain, pressure (esp. with plane flights or high elevation descents) and headaches. She was living off of ibuprofen and allergy pills but it simply wouldn’t do anything. Just helped the headaches a little but her liver counts were high due to this.
My daughter’s ethnicity is also partly middle eastern and Dr. Mikaelian specializes in making the changes look super natural and not having a «done» look. He goes into explicit explanations about every possible factor so you can make a well-​informed decision. He was our «second opinion» and we chose him because he seemed to be well versed in these surgeries. He came from the Beverly Hills area originally, so we are very blessed to have him here!!!
He doesn’t mince words, yet you never feel he’s being rude. He’s just to the point! The man is busy and you can tell he’s a perfectionist.
My daughter’s infections and issues have completely disappeared. She is super happy being able to breathe again, and also just 3 months after her surgery, the cosmetic results are so good that we’ve been asked a zillion times (she was very open about her surgery) for a referral.
It’s very very natural and the most amazing thing, I thought, was his surgical prowess. He literally knows the intricacies of the nose so specifically that he is able to perform the surgery using probes and his tools just internally so all stitching and cuts are internal. There is no lifting up of the nose. He was even able to shave off a bone spur way far back in her nasal cavity this way. I can’t say enough of how pleased we were with his service and he truly has a gift!!!
P. S. Also, the healing process was fast. Little bruising and swelling that was gone in one week and as soon as the nose mesh-​cast came off she was back to college classes.

I love, love, love Dr. Mikaelian. I’ve been seeing him for nearly 18 years. Consider: I work in Ventura. I pass probably 100 ENT’s on the way to see him because he is worth it. Appointments are efficient, thorough & caring. His office staff is fantastic & they, too, have been there for a long time (take note of the offices where they have heavy staff turnover. That says something loud & clear about the practice). I highly recommend him.
