I was somewhat underwhelmed of the food. Got a chicken sandwich which was good but nothing too special and a steakburger which was also okay. the dessert however was impeccable! got the dirt n worms and it was so delicious! skip dinner there and go for dessert!

I was running late and needed to get some food in me before my next appointment. I passed by this location and decided to try it. The people that work there were nice. That was the only redeeming quality. Went through the drive-thru and ordered a hot dog with just ketchup on it. Something simple to get me through until I was able to get home. I figured for almost $ 3.50 I would be getting something substantial. I was very wrong. Took the huge bag from the woman at the window. The bag was so light I thought that they had forgotten to put something in there. I looked inside and there was a white container in the bag, so I drove the two minutes to my next appointment. Pulled into the parking lot and took out the box. What I saw inside truly surprised me. A very skinny, hot dog and a bun that only half of the dog was covered. The food was barely warm, the bun was burnt and the hot dog was so greasy that after one bite there was no way I was going to be able to finish this. I Tossed it into the nearest trash bin. Now, maybe they are good at custard, but to charge such a price for food that was hardly edible is just wrong. Next time I will go to Costco where I can get a good hot dog that is really a meal and a soda for $ 1.50. Won’t be going back to try anything else here.

I grew up in the midwest, where Culver’s is the big name in frozen custard. Whenever my siblings and I did well in school, or at a math competition, etc., the reward was always the same: a trip to Culver’s. Nobody ever wanted any other reward, that was as good as it gets. We were all driven to succeed because success meant Culver’s. When I moved out to California, I was heartbroken to find that they did not operate in California. So I began my search for alternative sources of frozen custard. The search didn’t go well. Until I found Freddy’s. One bite of their Hawaiian Delight sundae and I was back at home, getting As in all my classes, scoring 800s on the SAT, and getting into my dream college all over again. It was just as good as I remember frozen custard being! I thought my days of quality chilled dairy products were over, but thanks to Freddy’s I can relive my best childhood memories again and again and again. No need to wait for the rapture, heaven is already here! P. S. Their burgers and fries are mediocre, but that’s not what I came for.

Love the burgers and shakes this is going to be my new burger joint. The staff is very welcoming and friendly! Wish other places had their customer service.

So this is finally in California, this is the closest to me. It is a little bit of a drive, but it was worth every mile. I only got the frozen custard I had the pumpkin kind, this was back in October. The staff was nice and friendly helped me out since this was my first time. Overall a great experience and great custard.

OK seems they are trying harder after some neg reviews. Good help is hard to find and the girl cleaning up ignored a bunch of squished FF all over the floor, LOL

I thought steak-burger sounded really good, but the meat was burnt. Burger King, which this place has replaced, has better burgers even thought it it a fast-food joint. I am not going back!

oK, These burgers are yummy, The cheese is fried with the patty and it is just something way different than I have had before. I love the Cheeseburger with the matchstick fries and the Freddy’s fry sauce. You gotta try this place!

Excellent burger and skinny fries! Burger is super thin and a little crispy around the edges. Pickles on the burger for the win! Always good service. Oh and frozen custard is the bomb!

Went around 7 at night. The drive-thru was steady but inside was pretty dead. The décor is that overdone red and white 50’s-ish tiled theme you get at Johnny Rockets, etc. These«No, WE were the first burger joint» proprietors need to care about this stuff as these 50’s restaurants markets are saturated and all look and feel the same. But not one of them ever hits you with remarkable service, food, and atmosphere at once. Too busy expanding and only pretend to dabble in customer satisfaction. But I digress. They need better music or even a juke box. We got the Cali combo. The staff was a bunch of unfriendly kids. No smiles, no welcome, but whatever. The manager needs to tighten the cleanliness up. All the booths’ tabletops were gross with old food droppings from other customers. I could’ve asked for one to be cleaned for us, but I just wiped it with a napkin since the meals are served on a tray to eat off of. They call everything a sandwich here on the menu. Burger patties with a bun are sandwiches? But it was a good burger, albeit a bit salty and heavy with that Lawry’s they use on them. That fry sauce they think is so special? It tasted to me like a creamy 1000 island dressing, and nothing outstanding. I hate the micro cups you have to use to bring the self-pump ketchup to your seat. They hold about 2 tablespoons and I’d rather be given 5 – 10 ketchup packets instead of futzing with the annoying little cups. The showstring fries were done excellent and were hot and tasty, but again, that salt blast was too much. Free soda refills. For 8 bucks on that Cali combo, I think the value was very good. We still like the very controversial 5 Guys with their unimited toppings. But I’d go back here but insist on low/no salt and add my own to my meal. I’d also like to try their frozen custard.

Ordered a PB& C concrete and a vanilla malt from the drive-thru and literally got two ice cream sundaes. And waited in line for 30 minutes while my order was screwed up

My son tried a Frozen Custard in Apple Valley at soccer tournament and loved it. We just found out that’s there’s a Freddy’s(125 miles closer) in Thousand Oaks albeit in a deserted shopping center really sketchy lol The steakburger is fresh, good and flavorful these are old school burgers. Cooked on a flat top with a nice crust. The fries are shoestring and crispy with a good dipping sauce. The star is the frozen custard which my son loves made concrete style like a turtle pie(think wet concrete in a cup) lol Overall a really good fast food option. It’s not«In N Out«Burger but then again they have frozen custard…

Usually excellent fresh burgers and shoestring fries. The shoestring fries are excellent; crisp, skinny fries! They have their own french fry dip that is very tasty. It’s a Thousand Island style dip. Bad news is I’ve gotten a seriously salty burger last time I ate here. The service was also weird. There was a sign on the ordering speaker that said to «go to the window». I wait at the window for a few minutes before someone comes to take my order. She just stands there looking at me like I got a booger in my nose or something. I have to ask her if she is going to take my order. Totally null and void person; maybe this was why I got a bad burger this time. Usually the service is good, this was a hopefully a fluke that I got someone who was out of it. The food is very reasonably priced, or what I call — a great deal. You don’t have to wait for 20 minutes to get your burger. You are good to go in 5 – 10 minutes. Beats the heck out of some of the other local burger joints!

The service is awesome. Dionna is fabulous, even when I am not certain, she just gives what she wants. I asked for a burger but didn’t know which. Dionna stepped in and said I am getting the double Cal. She whipped my custard well and made it perfectly. The place is great. Clean. Well lit. Hot dogs are a different story. The taste like dodger dogs. Nasty. I am a Nathan, Hebrew national or Sabreet kinda guy. These had no crispy snap to them. Burgers were great. Try the fry sauce on the side for the burger just to change it up every other bite. WHEREARETHECOCA-COLAFLAVORS. the four stars was because of the pavement. Which isn’t their fault. But there are A LOT of potholes. Be careful.

This is a great spot to get a hamburger and hot dog combo to get a taste of all their flavors. They have a great Chicago dog combo with their cheeseburger. The flavor is mouthwatering and delicious. Their string fries go great with any combo you choose. Their custard choices that they offer are just as good and flavorful. The service is great as they make sure your taken care of and your needs are met. Parking is in their lot and is a non issue.

Just visited Freddy’s — had an Italian Beef combo — bout $ 9.49 with $ 0.40 upgrade on the fries to a large sized portion. It pretty much filled one of their baskets — and the taste what more or less«spot on» for the flavor of original Italian beef sandwiches from Chicago. My favorite being Johnny’s Hot Italian Beef from North street or avenue(???). Not quite exact in size or flavor but pretty darn good for being local on the wet coast! I will return JUST for the Italian beef. Only I recommend ordering it with extra peppers on top! Unfortunately, we were too busy socializing with friends at the meal and I forgot to shoot images… sigh.

Pretty good burgers. The one difference about these burgers is the beef patty is tenderized and very thin. So don’t expect a big hunk of meat. This does not take away from the deliciousness of the burger. The patty is cooked with a crispy crust. And the standard Freddy’s steak burger is served with onions, pickle and mustard. You can get a few variations of this including a patty melt or California style. They also have hot dogs, fish and chips and chicken sandwiches. The French fries are shoe string and very thin but well seasoned. For dessert Frozen custard in vanilla and chocolate. Make it one of their speciality sundaes. You can buy the custard by the pint or a cake. The interior is reminiscent of a 50’s style diner. Décor include includes some old pictures of Freddy and his family with bits of the background of this restaurant.

For fast food this ranks in the fantastic impeccable incredible category !!! Long live the steak burger… I think it may have just knocked In & Out to number 2 in my books… Had a bacon cheese burger, it was fresh hot and delicious… and actually tasted like meat, which is a huge bonus for fast food! And of course I had to try the frozen custard, had vanilla with bananas… So this is my new favorite spot to stop when I’m over near WestLake… Very shitty shopping center that its in… looks like a Ghost Town, the only thing shining around there is Freddy’s. I had wonderful service by the way… but it always depends who is serving you. My only wish is they served Coke instead of Pepsi… but I can get over that… or BYO Coke I guess.
