Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas

I don’t come to eat. I go to relax and watch a movie. Sometimes I leave work early, and sneak off to enjoy a movie without my 2 young kids. This is my favorite theater in the area. It’s clean and comfortable (I could live in the reclining chairs). It’s more expensive than your average theater. But well worth it. It would be great for a date night. But my husband hates movie theaters. Lol.

I’ve been to this place a few times. It’s a great experience with the large and spaced out reclining seats, in-​theatre servers, and full bar! It’s way better than Muvico! This is the theatre I go to when it’s a special occasion though and if I have the money to spare because It’s pricey! But I think It’s so fun to just push the button next to you and have the server come to your seat to take your order– however, the bill can add up quick. I’ve ordered the margherita flat bread pizza before, which I thought was delicious and a larger portion size than I had anticipated (which was a good thing because I was able to share). I especially like that you can order a whole bottle of wine, as well as their artisan cheese plate– and have it all served to you! Overall I love how spaced out everything is and that no one will be kicking the back of your seat!

Very comfortable large reclining leather chairs with plenty of room between you and other guests. Assigned seating makes it stress-​free so you don’t have to rush to the theater.

Used to be 5 stars, now I reduce to 2 because of the mainstreaming of non-​alcohol and alcohol (21+) theaters. Every time my wife and I have attended of late there are unruly kids that cant stop talking and using phones during the movie. We used to be able to avoid this with plethora of 21+ options. Decided its better just to wait for DVD. We wont be going back anymore. It pains me to write this because we really loved this theater, but it just isn’t worth the $$ anymore not to be able to enjoy the movie and avoid the seemingly endless disrespectful kids.

Just overpriced, especially the food. But the seats are incredibly comfortable and waiters super friendly. Definitely a fun experience to try at least once.

I was here last week in theatre 1 (Alice in Wonderland), and again (right now) in theatre 8 (Angry Birds), and the carpets or chairs smell horrible/​unattractive. It smells like dirty wet carpet, which is quite distracting. Once the a/​c kicked-​in it was a little better, but just a little.

They say that most people look better naked with the lights turned off. Sadly, so does Cinepolis these days. My son and I arrived early to our show and were able to see our seats under regular lighting. I immediately thought the name might have to change to «Germopolis». The seats were stained and crusty while the stainless steal table mount was smeared with chocolate sauce (I hope it was chocolate sauce). My son’s glass tray was broken. Crumbs were imbedded everywhere. So sad to see such a decline. At the prices they charge, they really need to have «deep cleaning & maintenance day» for each theater. The staff is nice and I still (want) to love the place.

I hate going to the movies and have it ruined by people and their kids. I only go to the over 21 screenings and always book the 2 middle seats in row C.
This experience of having hand picked your «crowd» and the fact that it feels like I’m home but with an added bonus of service, makes a regular theatre hard to go to. I drive 25 miles to get here as the one in pasadena is double the price… DOUBLE!
It’s been 3 years and counting. If you’re in the industry and respect films and their craft. Don’t have it ruined by idiots and children at the normal theatres.

This place is ok… IPIC beats it for sure. But who wants to drive that far away if Cinepolis is close by.
The only thing that really really got on my nerve was the waiters blocking the screen every ten minutes.
That doesn’t happen anywhere else. And the food presentation could be better for the price.

No doubt that this is the ultimate movie going experience: Waitstaff working the theater, recliners, reserved seating, and excellent price point. If you frequent the movies once a month just for the blockbusters, this is money well spent. I enjoyed every bit of albeit one caveat. Despite providing an impressive movie environment, I have still forgotten how much an audience affects the overall experience. There were cell phones ringing and little kids running around. I would enjoy a code of conduct that’s heavily enforced.

Terrible experience. Third time was a charm. Sam Diaz needs to be fired. Food didn’t come after calling for help twice. Last time I came the movie ended and I didn’t get my food and it almost happened again. Leave the movie and the neighbors alcohol is on my bill. Ask for a supervisor at the end and we get the clueless Sam Diaz who just looked at my blankly and rudely as if I was crazy that I needed someone to care about how incredibly horrible the service is there. I miss 30% of this movie, 50% last time just because I have to ask people to bring my food we ordered 45 minutes ago and they act as if they know and it’s coming. when it doesn’t. I am shocked this place has any good reviews. The chairs are comfortable and that’s all. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best and the staff clearly is unhelpful and idiotic. Never again.

Amazing experience! I usually don’t like going to the movies because it’s not a comfortable and enjoyable experience… but this place is the way to watch movies! It’s only like $ 3 – 5 more for a ticket then any other theatre. Every time there is a good movie out, I’m watching it here. With the comfort of a recliner chair, a server bringing me popcorn, drink, food, dessert, whatever I want. The only thing they can’t bring me is a toilet lol

Ray the Manager needs to value customers more! I bought tickets online for a 1pm show just to get in the screen room as the movie ended! They changed the showing time!!! So they direct me to the manager to «fix» the issue, all he does is ask me for all my credit cards and has me show him proof of purchase (waisting 20 min of my time). Then he books me on a later showing… Now me and my 5 yr old daughter have to wait almost an hour in the lobby… You would THINK they’d comp us at least a cup of water!!! Nope!!! What crappy customer service! Not even an «I’m sorry Ma’am.» Maybe I didn’t look wealthy enough for that!!!

Finally found a high end theater without breaking the bank! This place is very nice and looks like a hotel setting especially on the halls. The seats are comfy and reclining with night lamps in between. Watched batman vs superman $ 34 for two, wasnt able to try to order food since just ate lunch prior to going. They do have an option to order by just ringing the buzzer by the chair to have someone take your order. My first experience with a theater like this was epic in pasadena which was pricey few years ago. I would definitely come back here. Parking is free which is awesome and staff is very nice. This theater have a bar and concession.

This place is alright, but not five stars for me. For starters, the service was not to my liking. The guy checking me in forgot to give me 3D glasses for my movie. He not only did that to me, but also to another moviegoer. It was very disorganized. I wanted something sweet to enjoy during the movie and the guy at the snack bar helping me maneuver the menu failed to mention they had any types of milkshakes or ice cream. I ended up ordering a hot cocoa because that was what he recommended. It was gross and did not have the taste I expected. It was my first time coming to this theater, so I expected the experience to be different. My seat was okay, however because of my height I had a gnarly bar on the back of my legs that hurt! It wasn’t the best experience. For the area and the hype I expected more. Now I know for next time. Oh well!

Great spot for a date night or a night with friends. To start, the location is prime as you are in the vicinity of many great restaurants to have a meal. If you want to have all in one, then this is the spot. The menu items that they bring to your seat as your watching your movie or movies range from delicious sliders to their lobster roll. They also have a great cubano sandwich that will have your hunger satisfied. Their other delights include their specialty popcorn that is either butter and salt or chocolate caramel. You can wash these delicacies down with one of their fine beverages.
Service is great as their staff is attentive and polite.
Parking is a non issue as the lot is a significant size.

Recently visited Cinepolis Westlake today. And while the movie was good I couldn’t say the same thing about the food. We were served chicken tenders during the previews so obviously we couldn’t check how cooked it was temperature wise. I thought it was REALLY tender so when I was curious and flashed light on it i found out the CHICKEN WAS RAW! Told the staff about it and the manager just brushed us off asking how the movie was. In the wake of various food borne illness I know how unacceptable and dangerous it is for children, pregnant women and the general population raw chicken is, coming from someone who works in the ER. I hope for our sake and others that protocols are checked and recheked especially for a luxury facility like yours. We are, as consumers are paying and this is not what it is worth.

What a difference a year makes. We went to the Cinepolis Westlake a year ago and it was truly a luxurious, high end experience. Last night we went to see THE FORCE AWAKENS and the degradation in the facility and customer service was quite disappointing. Now this «luxury cinema» is just an over-​priced movie theater that serves alcohol.
1. First impressions are everything — and my first impression on this visit was very negative. The cup holder on my «luxury» seat was missing, exposing the plywood and torn leather of my seat.
2. No lobster rolls! — gee, who could predict that food sales would spike with sold out showings of the new STAR WARS? This could be acceptable if they served fresh lobster, but since their lobster meat is frozen, why not stock up? To add insult to injury the Cinepolis promo that runs before the feature shows a woman saying, «I’ll take the lobster roll!» Sure, if they happen to have lobster in stock.
3. Wait staff was nowhere to be seen before the movie. They didn’t arrive until well after the previews began because they were understaffed (more on this later). First orders arrived just in time to disrupt the start of the feature.
4. Orders for most of the customers in our row were incorrect, leading to the servers going back and forth with corrections throughout the film.
5. I am not exaggerating when I say that every single check for every customer in our row was incorrect. I was presented with my check along with a check for an order that was not my own — all during the climax of the film. An absolute disaster in terms of customer service.
After the movie, the theater staff was openly grousing to the customers about being under pressure to provide service while understaffed.
On the way out, I had to wait for other patrons to finish complaining to the shell-​shocked manager before I could talk to him. When I showed him the picture of the damaged seat with the missing cup holder and told him that I would send the picture to Cinepolis corporate, he replied curtly: «Good! Maybe then they will send us the cup holders we ordered. We don’t get any support from them.»
This is not how I would describe a luxury experience: the staff openly complaining about management and management openly complaining about the lack of corporate support. We go to the movies to leave the everyday world behind, not listen to the complaints of the staff and management at a poorly run theater.
I’m being generous in giving the Cinepolis Westlake a two star rating. They need to get back to providing the luxury experience required to justify their pricing.

After going to Cinepolis I don’t think I’ll watch a movie any other way. I’m really not a movie person but I would definitely come back to this place. You have these comfortable reclining couches that you can lounge on and if the movie is boring enough you can sleep. The theater we were in has 2 adjoining couches and then a table that separates another set of 2 couches. Under your armrest there’s a little blue button you push for service and some nice person comes and takes your order. You can either pay cash or open your tab with a credit card. Then a few minutes before the movie ends they bring your bill. I will say that everything is very expensive. We paid $ 5.75 for a bottle of water which was crazy. And as you know they serve alcohol which is a plus but again super expensive.
Overall it’s great service, comfortable chairs and a great experience.

This theater makes me dread having to go to regular theaters. Once you get inside, you wouldn’t think that this was a movie theater, but a classier lounge. The individual theaters don’t have too many seats, which is great when you don’t want too many moviegoers that can potentially be annoying.
The seats… Forget about the movie, the seats were probably my favorite thing about the whole experience. Each pair of seats is close together but a little farther from other pairs, which makes the movie less cramped and awkward. There is the perfect amount of space and they recline! It evokes the same, comfy feeling you get when you watch a movie on the couch at home.
There is a button to call in a waiter if you would like to order off of the menu. I ordered a Caprese panini and it was pretty good, but also a little expensive for a panini. Pretty much all of the food was overpriced but besides that, the theater is super cool.
