A To Z Auto Shipping

This is the 3^rd time we used this company– The driver kept us updated as to where he was and actually delivered the car one day earlier than expected. A to Z did an excellent job of transporting our cars and we will continue to use them in the future

We have shipped 3 cars from Northern New England to Los Angeles through A to Z in the last 18 months. Andrea and Marcus were professional, personable, helpful, and accessible over the course of each of our shipments, as was the rest of the staff. A to Z offered a competitive price and the service we received was excellent. Our vehicles were picked up and delivered on schedule and arrived without damage. I am relieved to know that I have a transport company I can trust.

i just shipped my bmw from los angeles to virginia. i have previously shipped 5 cars back and forth across country and this was my best experience yet. they arrived on time. they were very careful loading my car and documenting it’s lack of damage. the office kept me informed of probable delivery dates. and finally, my car arrived on the earliest day they had quoted, no damage and the driver had my car running with heater on and in perfect condition. he could not drop it at my home, so he paid for a taxi for me to get to him.
i am purchasing another car several hours away and have already contacted them to take care of getting it shipped to me. i have had bad experiences in the past. i am happy to give a to z 5 stars for doing it right!

The good: much less expensive than other companies I got quotes from for transporting my car from Burbank, CA to Colorado Springs, CO. The actual guys who loaded and unloaded my vehicle were awesome and my car got to Colorado earlier than I was quoted without any damage or anything missing (I put some stuff I knew I would need sooner than the furniture movers in my car). The ladies were extremely personable, professional and explained the process thoroughly.
The bad: in spite of the ladies’ professionalism I ended up having to chase down random people to call to figure out the status of my vehicle and the pick up/​delivery dates and times which was frustrating and totally defeated the point of having a bill of lading with incorrect contact information. In the end I spoke to probably 4 different guys who were supposedly the «dispatchers» a term usually given to people who actually have a clue about where their drivers are, which these clearly didn’t. I also had to change drivers which luckily didn’t affect the delivery of my car too much (it was basically one day difference) the original driver seemed disgruntled so I requested another one, the second guy was nice but the bill of lading copy was iffy.
Overall, the driver did at least take pictures of my car, emailed me a copy of the information for my car and was really proactive and helpful. The delivery driver got lost a few times which wasn’t a big deal but it basically killed my whole day. The dispatchers were pretty clueless except for Ali and Bakhadir. I don’t know if I would use them again but for this time at least my car got to me, they were affordable and yes, like one of the other Unilocalers mentioned they are brokers but having done auto transporting myself overseas that is basically how all of it works, especially to get such low prices, they obviously deal in volume transporting and picking up cars to make their money along with an obvious commission.

Three reasons I wish I had never hired A to Z:
1.It was a waste of money. A to Z is a broker, which means they transport nothing. They merely take your order and have it filled by an actual shipping company, taking a cut in the process. If I had hired a shipping company myself, I would have saved hundreds of dollars.
2. Because they are only a broker, I had no control over whom they hired to ship my car. They were free to pick a company that I never would have hired because of their reputation.
3. The ONE thing that I felt a broker should do is to help me make the shipping company pay up when my car was damaged. However, A to Z simply stopped helping me long before the process was finished. They gave no warning, no explanation, no assurance that they would stick to their word, they simply stopped responding to my communication.
I hope you have better luck shipping your car, and my guess is that you will if you completely avoid this broker.

We just shipped a car from Arkansas to Oregon via this firm. Bottom line: it arrived in good condition and on schedule.
I’ve never shipped a car before and found the process of finding a firm a bit daunting. It’s a funny business with some shady operators. A to Z was recommended by a moving firm and so I went with them.
From what I can tell, this firm is a broker. They take a cut and then rely on a network to do the actual relocation. So your experience might vary.
The guy who delivered our car didn’t have the best English and seemed particularly concerned that we would pay — «remember, you owe me XX dollars in cash on delivery». I hadn’t been told that it was cash-​only, so they lose a star for that. But beyond that I can’t fault them. The car is here undamaged and there were no hidden charges or other surprises.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would!
Here’s an update after my old review:
A-​z settled with me for $ 200 after dodging their agreement to reimburse me for the damages if I got 2 estimates. One estimate was for 400, another for 800. They told me that I waited too long to get them the estimates even though they didn’t give me a time constraint. And the reality of the situation is that they waited too long to contact their instance company, it really wasn’t my fault. And they could have payed me out of pocket to live up to their agreement. This company caused damages to my car and in the end didn’t fully reimburse me for them, I decided to settle because the whole experience was shady and I’m too busy of a person to deal with shady people, it was very clear that they were just going to keep being shady. The reason I added a star from my old 1 star review is because they wouldn’t even give me the $ 200 settlement until I agreed to change my review.
I am a starving college student and wanted to sell my car in order to pay for food, rent, and tuition. I lost $ 800 over the sale of my car because of the damages this company caused and I could have payed for food for a year with that money. It honestly makes me want to cry.
The car company that was hired through this broker picked up my car this morning. Drove the car on the trailer before doing the inspection and smashed the front end of my car. Threatened me over the phone and basically left me with no options because I don’t have time to hire another shipping company before I move. They refused to take responsibility for the damages, nearly a thousand dollars in damages I’m going to have to pay for a new bumper. Not to mention that when I was upset the driver put his arm around me and told me that I must have just heard a loud noise and thought that it was my car being damaged! This is sexual harassment!!! The driver also got into the car a second time while it was on the trailer, turned the engine on and threatened to damage the car a second time if I didn’t sign off on the inspection forms. They told me the inspection form notes existing damages and they told me since it wasn’t filled out before they smashed my car it means that they won’t take responsibility for the damages they caused. The broker has been very responsive and helpful in the process of resolving this issue, but I’m disappointed that the company was hired.

While CAA transport was a nightmare as a transporter, A to Z was there as my broker to support me during my 2-​month long ordeal with them. When I called they were professional and gave me good advice.
I would trust them again, but I would demand that they not use CAA transport as the actual transport service. I suggest you do the same.

This company was awesome! They shipped my car recently from San Diego to Boston without a problem. When I decided to stay a week later than planned in San Diego, they easily changed the date without an additional charge. The cost was about $ 1150 and my car arrived in the same condition as it left (albeit a little dirtier!). The people I dealt with were really nice and my car arrived within 7 days. If I move from West to East again, I’ll be sure to go with A to Z Auto Shipping!

Andrea at A to Z was outstanding. The pick up location for our 2013 Corvette 427 was in a challenging, out of the way location, in the middle of nowhere Missouri. We had never arranged to have a car shipped and Andrea was always prompt with her replies and explained the entire process in a very honest straightforward way.
The price was good (not the cheapest but not the most expensive either) for the enclosed carrier and honestly we thought it would have been more due to the out of the way location. Most importantly is that A to Z delivered faster and more professionally that other cheaper carriers we contacted.
The drivers were prompt and picked up the car on schedule, and delivered nearly a full 1 ½ days ahead of schedule.
The car was perfect when it arrived, no damage, and the driver (Rouman) did a thorough walk-​through to ensure we were satisfied.
We definitely recommend A to Z!

Unprofessional! Stay away from this place!
Shipped a car from Orange County, CA to Minnesota. They were very nice on the phone and said it would take 5 – 7 days. Certain delays happened due to weather, etc. Understandable. The transport ended up taking 10 days and the problem is that I made plans based on their commitments.
Unfortunately the driver lied to me about 5 times in 3 days about when he would deliver the car. I scheduled a dealership to maintenance the car to make sure we could drive it save in the winter climate. Went from Wednesday to Thursday morning /​evening to Friday morning. It finally arrived Friday evening when the dealership already closed. Even when I told the truck driver that I am tired of the lies and just needed to know when the car would arrive he told me he would be there in 20 min and it took another 2 hours.
Samantha was trying to keep me informed. However, she was completely useless when it came to solving the problem. When I told her that my wife was going to be stranded with my baby son she quoted the contract that I signed. She emailed me the paragraph of the contract and said her supervisor could discuss it with me the following Monday. Not a single moment did she try to help or thought she was accountable for what happened.
Paid $ 1,000 for the transport — a customer service joke /​nightmare.
I will see the car on Sunday and just hope they didn’t damage it on top of this mess…

A to Z did an awesome job shipping my CR-​V cross country last year. The drivers were terrific on both ends, and the car was in perfect condition. I don’t know what made me more nervous — shipping the car or «shipping» the cat. I can say that a year later, both are doing extremely well.
I would highly recommend your company to anyone, particularly for cross country moves like mine that are so stressful.
A to Z is the best!

I have used A to Z to ship 3 different cars across the country (from Boston to So Cal and back). One of my cars was a vintage ’96 Porsche with only 15k miles, the other a nice Lexus SUV. Needless to say I was concerned at the beginning. I have to say that in the end I was extremely pleased. They got back to me each time with my questions and concerns. This year, I called on Monday a few weeks back and they picked up the Porsche in SoCal 3 days later. The same pickup and delivery driver were used and the same people helped me in their office. So they have a great crew and they have been around a long time and you count on these guys. They also gave me a great rate this year. Good Job!

I had my car moved from California to Maryland. Being this was my first time shipping my car anywhere, I was very skeptical of all companies. After doing some research, I chose A to Z auto shipping. They have an A+ rating on the BBB. They were very helpful in answering all my questions (I called multiple times asking a variety of questions).
A to Z contracted my job out to Saturn Auto Trans. The manager of the company called me on Tuesday (I had been given a three day period when my car would be picked up) to schedule a pick up for Thursday. Dima, the driver, called me on Thursday and told me he would be in my area sometime after 5. I had a pretty flexible schedule so I was okay with that. He picked up my car, did a thorough inspection, and placed it on the truck. I’m happy to say that my car is safe and sound, no dings, scratches, dents, or cracks only 6 days after it had been picked up! The original time frame was 7 – 10 days. Would definitely use this company again.

Move from California to Florida
I have to say I am surprised and very happy to be writing this review. Moving across country is definitely not fun. Moving our car seemed like such a gamble. You expect for it to show up– or not at all– with bullet holes in the windows, mileage racked up and who knows what else.
We did what we were warned not to do online. We paid a small deposit to schedule our pickup. They take credit cards so I wasn’t so worried. From the beginning, they were very professional. They gave us an accurate quote and pick up date. They kept in touch with us through a stressful time. They showed up exactly on time and made us completely comfortable with their service. The guy that came to get our truck took pictures of each angle of our vehicle, mileage, etc. Picked up on September 28^th (the date I requested).
The greatest part was that we had rented a car in Florida until the 10^th of October (our window). Lucky for us, they called us on October 2^nd to let us know that our truck would arrive on October 4^th. The guy was right on time with our delivery. Our vehicle was in the same condition as when it was picked up.
I would definitely use this company again.

This place is rude, disorganized, overpriced, unable to keep to even the most general time estimates. They hold your car hostage and ding you with hidden fees, they waste your time and jerk you around.
Avoid them at all costs!

After doing a great deal of research on auto transport companies, I gave this outfit a call. I asked the woman who answered the phone what kind of timing I could expect from her company to get my car from the SF Bay area to Southern California. She initially said unequivocally that the transporter that would bring my car to me would not stop for other cars and load them or go out of his way driving south to Southern California.
In her description of how they would handle my car she started to waffle on how long it would take to get my car and I began to more seriously question her. That’s when a man broke into our telephone conversation and started becoming offensive about my questions. He became really agitated that I had the audacity to question the double talk the woman had provided me. I eventually hung up on him and vowed to review these auto transport brokers even more carefully in the future. It really appears to be a shady business. Be careful.

I used them once from La to NY and quite satisfied with their service. So I decided to use them again, as a repeat costumer they gave me an instant discount. However, 5 hours after we have agreed to a fix price, a 3^rd party called me and asking for additional amount since he himself admitted that he thought that my place is in NJ not Queens. I told him to contact Marcus (A to Z rep) since he is my contact.
After I hang up, I decided to call Marcus and he mentioned that there was a miscommunication with the driver and that I need to pay the difference. This is rediculous, we have agreed to a fix amount and their mistake should not cost me anything. I decided to cancel the transaction and Marcus mentioned that they can reverse the downpayment they took from my credit card. Hopefully, this will be done as soon as possible.
If you will hire them, please make sure that you have agreed on a price. I must say that this is very disappointing experience. I don’t think I will recommend nor use A to Z Auto Shipping to anyone.

I have now used A to Z Auto to ship two of my customers cars. Both times I have received exceptional service. They really care about the car and my needs to get it shipped. I found A to Z after another place I found online made promises and did not deliver on those promises. Course I tried to save $ 100 on shipping with them and the car arrived two weeks late and had damage. I will definately keep A to Z in mind for shipping and recommend them to the dealerships I contract business with. Way to go guys!

Being bi-​coastal, I’ve had many friends who’ve shipped their cars from the East to West Coast and vice versa. I’ve heard so many horror stories about it. Their cars don’t show up on time. The staff is shady and won’t answer phone calls. So when it was time for us to move cross country, we cowered in fear. My husband’s beloved BMW M3 convertible had to be shipped. Would it make it?
After extensive Google searching, I found A to Z. They have been in business approximately 20 years and were used by charities, the Getty Center, and others. They had a great track record, so we figured we’d give it a shot and crossed our fingers.
They told us they’d pick it up on a Friday between 12 to 3PM. I’d receive a phone call 15 – 30 minutes prior to the driver arriving. At 12:15P on our pre-​determined Friday, they called to say they were 15 minutes away. I almost fell over. I brought the car to the meeting point and met the driver who was already there and waiting. He was AWESOME. He took detailed notes on the car — what damage was already there, mileage, etc. He then took approximately 20 pictures of the car from all angles. I immediately let my guard down. These guys were good.
They loaded her up and off she went on her East Coast adventure.
They said the car would arrive between 7 – 10 days. I didn’t expect it to arrive until the end of this month because I didn’t want us to get our hopes up then get annoyed when the car didn’t arrive.
The staff said we’d receive a phone call the day prior to the drop off to ensure we’d be available as well as a window of time.
On Day 7, I got the phone call. On Day 8, we got our car.
She was in perfect condition — just a little dusty. They took GREAT care of our vehicle and followed through on their timeline.
I’d gladly recommend A to Z to anyone looking to ship their car. The price is great. The staff is incredible. If you have a convertible, they put the car on the top tier to avoid oil from other cars seeping into it.
Amazing all around. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
