History
Established in 1980.
Panera Bread® was established in 1981; our Westford bakery-café opened in 2012 Ronald M. Shaich is Chairman of the Board and co-CEO. William W. Moreton is President and co-CEO. Panera Bread is expanding quickly across North America, operating 1,562 company-owned and franchise-operated bakery-cafes in 40 states and in Ontario, Canada as of March 27, 2012, under the Panera Bread®, Saint Louis Bread Co.® and Paradise Bakery & Café® names.
