Very happy with Doctors Streko and O’Connell. My whole family goes for everything from cleanings/​check ups to pulling wisdom teeth. Have also used them for braces, very happy with the result.

Dr. Streko has been my primary dentist for at least twenty (20) years. I have always felt very comfortable with him taking care of my teeth. It’s almost like he treats them like a work of art. I feel he has taken pride in his work and has had integrity.
Dr. Streko was away on vacation recently and I developed a severe pain in a back tooth. The pain was eye watering. Dr. O’Connell came into the office during nighttime hours and performs an emergency temporary root canal which relieved all pain. I am forever grateful for this. When the infection was gone Dr. Streko repaired the tooth and no crown was necessary. Because of their excellent team work they saved the tooth and I did not need a crown.
Siliana, the hygienist has been doing a more than thorough job in cleaning my teeth. She is another person with integrity. At my request Siliana has hand cleaned my teeth for years. The reason being that the ultrasonic procedure was annoying because I have very sensitive teeth. At my last visit I manned up and let her use the ultrasonic pick and forgot about it. When she was finished my teeth were clean as a whistle. My overall experience with the entire staff has been a reflection of this kind of integrity. My experience was very satisfying and will continue until my teeth fall out. Even then this team will be able to help with that if it should arise. Hopefully I don’t have to experience that.

The absolute best! I have been to MANY dentists throughout my life and only wish I met Dr. Streko sooner. About 2 years ago I experienced complications when I was getting one of my amalgam fillings removed. After seeing multiple specialists and top of the line dentists in Manhattan and Boston, and thousands of dollars later, they were still not able to remedy the issue. At that point I was frustrated and feeling very defeated so I set off on a mission to find someone who would not take this matter lightly. Especially since my health was now being compromised because of the issue. It was at that point, that I happen to see my roommate from college and I was telling her about what was going on and she told me «you HAVE to go see Dr. Streko». I trusted her implicitly because she is super cautious and dare I say anal about her teeth — and she doesn’t settle for mediocre care. ;) To me, I had nothing to loose so I booked my first appointment. It might me hard to believe but that first appointment changed my life. Dr. Streko listened to my extensive history and all of the issues that I had experienced that prior year. From that moment on, you could tell he was on a mission to figure out a solution to the many obstacles that sit in front of him. He took the time to put an extensive plan together and called me personally to go over it, gave me multiple options, and most importantly educated me on each of them. It was the first time in 32 years that I can ever remember having complete confidence and trust in my dentist and dare I say, excited for my appointments.
Dr. Streko is one of those Dr.‘s that goes home at night and thinks about your case… You can tell he loves what he does and is darn good at it for sure! His staff has always been more than accommodating and knowledgeable about my care and always willing to help when I don’t understand something. This is coming from someone who is super critical of how businesses are run, as I help rebrand and restructure small businesses for a living.
It’s for all of these reasons and more that I drove an hour from Manhattan to Westfield, NJ to see Dr. Streko and it never felt like a chore or a burden because I knew I was in good care and didn’t have to question the results I was going to receive, the amount I was going to have to pay, or the efficiency of care. Having just moved to Westchester, NY I am still happy to drive 1.5 hours to see him on a regular basis.
Side note — Sil is the absolute best dental hygienist! Your teeth feel like new when you leave her chair. She’s warm, friendly, outgoing, funny, and she remembers things about you, you might not even remember about yourself. She’s simply amazing…
Thank you Dr. Streko and staff for all you do! I’m already looking forward to my next appointment.

This man is a charlatan and a thief.
On the recommendation of a family member, I visited this office last fall. Prior to my visit, it had been about a year since I had last seen a dentist, so I was due for a cleaning, x-​rays, oral exam, etc. After my exam, I was shocked to find out I had 10 cavities and the beginnings of periodontitis in several places. (Prior to this, I had had maybe 5 cavities in my entire life! So I was truly shocked to find that in less than a year I had developed 10.)
A week or two later, I had three of the cavities filled. The price was a bit higher than I was comfortable paying, so I decided to get the rest of the work done at another dentist’s office.
Now, if you’re paying attention, I started with 10 cavities and had 3 filled. This should bring me down to 7 cavities, right?
Wrong.
The next dentist found 0 cavities in my mouth after looking at the x-​rays from Streko’s office and doing her own oral exam on me. In fact, in the year since, I have developed no cavities. I take good care of my teeth. I brush and floss as recommended. Which makes me wonder if this criminal performed unnecessary dental work on me a year ago.
Stay FAR, FAR AWAY from this man and his office. He’s a crook, plain and simple.

I have practiced dentistry for many years and have partnered as a dental laboratory owner/​technician with Dr. Thomas Streko’s office since 2005. From the dental cases that we have done with that office it’s clear to me that his work is beautifully crafted and carefully matched to each patient’s needs. After working with hundreds of dental offices over the years I can definitely recommend Drs. Streko and O’Connell to any patient who wants the best quality dental care available. It’s a great office!

My family & I have been going to Dr. Streko for a several years. I even got my braces from him. Since I worked FT, he always made accommodations for my frequent adjustment visits– I’m very happy with the results. Just this past week, he opened his office for me (normally would be closed) so that he could fix my chipped front tooth. Staff is wonderful — very responsive.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Streko for 17yrs and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. He has a wonderful bedside manner and you know he really cares about providing the best care for you. His staff is caring and have always helped with any questions I’ve had. It’s great when your kids ask you to go to the dentist!

I should be able to give this a zero. I visisted this dentist after learning he was a TMJ specialist. The office staff was so nice and he seemed genuinely concerned about my issue. I thought I scored with a great new doctor. Then he finished his check up and provided me with a list of things I needed. Said I had 15 cavities and had several other isues that would require about $ 15,000 worth of work. As someone who sees the dentist every 6 months I was shocked. I went to see another dentist who said I had one cavity. When I attempted to get my records, the office turned vile and refused to give them. I still have not received them, obviously because they are a scam. DO NOT GO TO THIS CROOK! So unethical.

This exact thing happened to me and my sister! He told me I had several cavities and filled them when I never had any before. Told me I had severe gingivitis when I never had this before. Told me I needed periodontal cleanings every 6 months. Every time I walked in there more cavities. He rubbed my neck and said my traps were tight! He was so creepy. Do not go to this place. I started with a new dentist, and have not had a cavity since, not been told I have had gingivitis or needed periodontal cleanings… Or had them ever touch my neck or shoulders. Stay the hell away!

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME AS DR. R’s WIFE! I had just gone to my dentist 6 months before (we just moved) with no problems. I sit in his chair and he tells me I have SEVEN cavities and early stage periodontitis. I didn’t believe it, so I went to another dentist… ZERO cavities and only slight gingivitis in one area. Steer clear!

Steer clear of this guy. We moved to Westfield last year and had to find a new dentist in town. We were extremely happy with our old dentist out in Queens so we were dreading this. Streko seemed like a very nice guy, almost too nice. Like, creepy nice. My wife went for her first checkup and the guy said he found 11(!) cavities with an estimated bill of astronomical proportions. My wife goes for a checkup every 6 months and takes very good care of her teeth. I don’t think it is physically possible to get 11 cavities in 6 months if you tried. She went to another dentist to see what he would find (without saying anything) and he found no cavities. What a scam. Months later, we got a letter saying Dr. Streko no also offers Botox. Weird! Shows you he’s not getting enough business as a dentist, and it’s clear why. Stay away!
