Wg Grinders

Best Grinders location in the Columbus area hands down. I always get the veggie grinder. It is always fresh and stacked up high with veggies. This location puts a lot more stuff on it then the Hard Rd. and Fishinger Road locations. Fishinger Road especially is skimpy. In fact, I will never go back there again.
Sure the staff is not very enthusiastic. Who cares as long as the food is good and speedy.

This was my first visit to a WG Grinders since the fire at their former location on Lazelle Road up in the Polaris area. This visit was prompted by a visit from my son who now lives in Denver but who always loved Grinders when he lived here in Westerville. He used to patronize their former location on South State St in Uptown Westerville.
Suffice it to say that signage is poor at this location. I shop at Giant Eagle and I stop at the UPS Store and Panera — all in the same shopping center and never realized there was a Grinders in the strip until I did a Unilocal search looking for the closet Grinders.
First off — the negatives. The location is poorly signed and the interior is not nearly as nice, welcoming or as comfortable as either the Lazelle Rd or S State Street locations. The service was OK — not great — but somewhat typical of what you can expect in an inexpensive fast food type of place.
The food was OK but not as good as I remembered. My wife’s sandwich was not hot and we sent it back.
Not what I recalled /​not as good as I expected /​probably not worth a return visit — especially considering the number of options in the area.

Tasty chicken cordon bleu sub, but if you are looking for good customer service (or any kind of customer service), you might want to keep walking.

I love WG grinders. I have enjoyed their subs since I was in high school.
My favorites are the Meatball and the chicken Cordon Bleu subs. I also enjoy the Greek salad. My family likes the reuben sub, tuna salad sub and the soup. The pizza sub is great for the little ones. I also love that they have diet Dr. Pepper. They’ve got great bread and pack it full of goodness.
The service is okay but staff seems to lack enthusiasm. I try to be friendly but couldn’t get a smile from the girl taking the order. One of the guys putting together the sandwiches did seem friendly and went out of his way to get me a cup of crushed red pepper.
Give WG Grinders a shot… 60% of the time it works every time. Time to musk up.

Turkey club wasn’t too good. Two little pieces of turkey and three miniature slices of tomato. Really need to focus on quality and ensuring that the customer gets their moneys worth.

Bet Veggie Fast food sub I have had in columbus. AWESOME! all locations are just as good.

Very good subs, but tomato slices are now thinly sliced.
