First time here. First thing we noticed was the salsa, had a tinge of smokey flavor but not much taste other than that. I’ve had much better elsewhere. I order the same thing whenever I eat Mexican; chicken and steak fajita. Service was fast and they got the order correct; cook the vegetables until they’re brown. I had never noticed it before but apparently Mexican restaurants must use different kinds of oil for their fajitas because this one lacked the taste I get at other places. On the other hand, my wife had a chicken chimichanga and she liked that they didn’t overdue the seasoning some places do. So no for me on the fajitas but yes on the Chimi. Don’t get me wrong, it was OK, but not something I’d drive 10 miles again to try. All in all, not a bad experience, just that I was hoping for something a little different. I wish these folks well as they seem to be well organized and with good service, Sorry about not having a picture but fajitas are fajitas and besides, I’m usually too busy picking food off my shirt when I eat Mexican.

Great food. But tonite they would not accept my coupon even though it was completely valid. No one in charge was there They claimed the manager just left. He didn’t. They lost a regular

Never again. We got take out, the food tasted reasonably good. About an hour later I had violent chills and was soooo nauseous, shaking with my mouth watering. A few minutes later I was projectile vomiting. The next morning and for the next day, my husband had some troubling and painful intestinal symptoms. This all began on our wedding night, as we had takeout from Lomas Del Sol around 10:30pm at night and had been excited to try a Mexican place near our new house that was open late. Like I said, never, ever again.

I really love this place. We come here every once in a while. Service has always been great(been here at least 12 times). Last visit was on a Sunday and we opened the joint at noon. 24 oz Modelo for 2.99, yes and thank you! Had the enchiladas supremas, awesome! My son had the quesadilla and rice while my daughter had the cheeseburger which were both eaten. She is the odd one! But burger seemed ok for her. Chips and salsa, absolutely yes! Love this place. Only thing they could add would be Juaritos sodas. Other than that it’s a solid place with good service and great food. Go there you won’t regret it!

4 stars for their extremely strong margaritas. They put el vaquero to shame. I got the frozen strawberry margarita and it was super strong. The margarita on the rocks will be even stronger. Chips always fresh and come out warm. Excellent complimentary salsa. Always have the same friendly wait staff. Typical mexican food. Again, 4 stars for the margaritas. They sure do know how to make them with love!

We frequent this restaurant for lunch, the food is always fresh, the prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are perfect. The complimentary chips are freshly made that day, still warm. I like the Burrito Jalisco with steak(or chicken), my wife orders the Camerones a la Crema(Shrimp fajitas in cheesy cream sauce with beans and rice, …), both are great.

While the décor is typical of Mexican restaurants in the area, Lomas del Sol is well kept and clean. This ambiance is clearly a reflection of staff character as our servers have consistently been courteous(albeit quiet) and capable. So they may not be the most authentic of Mexican foods, but I can not help but love chimichangas. Even though the shrimp themselves could use something, Lomas del Sol’s shrimp chimichanga is pretty good and oh so filling with lettuce, rice, beans, guacamole, and queso blanco to smother it all. All around a solid choice.

The food was not anything that I would come back for. My friend and I ordered two margaritas. They were two separate colors. Mine was okay, hers was terrible. First and last stop here

Easily one of the greatest Mexican restaurants in Columbus. Pollo Jalisco is a must, and try the queso with chorizo.

This place is worth checking out. If I has one complaint I would say the salsa isn’t very consistent. Sometime is is great and other times it is awful.

Wandered over while Firestone was putting tires on my car. Typical strip-mall Tex-Mex. Friendly service, though it seemed a little slow considering that they weren’t busy at 1pm on a weekday. I had the lunch special chimichaga, mainly because it had been years since I had one. When it arrived I almost regretted my choice since it was pretty small. It tasted good, and the rice and beans with it were fine. I got some flan to fill my belly a bit more, and it was good– creamy, with nice caramel sauce. Bottom line– I might be back. The food was decent but not great. The prices were excellent. I think I paid $ 11 before the tip. There aren’t many food options nearby; if there were, this would not be in the running.

A couple of my friends and I went here after playing some disc golf. We were a little skeptical because you never know what you will get when you try a New Mexican place but we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was festive and the food had great flavor. Their margaritas were good too but– I ordered a normal size one then found out that the jumbo was the same price as a special so I tried to change my order and they wouldn’t let me so not exactly the best customer service.

We were visiting my parents, who live near Sunbury Woods, and this was the closest option that came up when we decided to get a late lunch. They’re pretty much a «Mexican in a box» restaurant, right down to the pre-printed menus with all dishes ordered by number and no substitutions. Bizarrely, my parents were actually charged extra to get lunch portions for their entrees, and the food pretty much was as good as the salsa that was put on it, because the actual meats and sides had very little flavor. Service wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible. Meh. If you held a gun to my head and asked me to go back, sure, I’d go in and order a burrito, but I don’t have any plans to return of my own free will.

I had a lazy, day off lunch at Lomas Del Sol. The place is eye-popping color everywhere. All of the furniture is covered in scenes of life in Mexico. It’s a fun atmosphere. We were really hungry, therefore the chips and salsa at Lomas Del Sol are the best ever. I went for the $ 7 lunch thing they were advertising. It’s all you can eat from a menu that includes pretty much anything you could ask for from a Mexican restaurant. I had some tacos and flautas. Everything was tasty and fresh. I thought it was a good deal. I also tried a Texas Margarita, gold tequila and delicious Grand Marnier on the rocks. It packed a nice punch, the smallest size is plenty of margarita for this gringo. Thinking about it now makes me hungry. I would gladly go back.

$ 6 all you can eat for lunch monday through saturday, it dosn’t get much better than that! We were starving and kept asking them if they are sure we can order anything off the menu and as much as we want for $ 6 each?!! Really? So we ordered 2 of each item a la carte(one chicken/one beef) and one of each side item. (yes, we are complete pigs…) The food came out pretty fast and the service was fine. Tastewise it was pretty much your average Columbus mexican food, fairly good but not earthshattering or worth going back for. If you are really hungry and in the mood for mexican like we were this fits the bill. The place is clean, the décor is the typical mexican brightly painted wood that we see so often in mexican restaurants all around Columbus nowadays. A fine, cheap lunch.

SWOON! Happy, bright, not loud, intimate, great service… and on and on. The other reviewers have it spot on, a «local chain» come to Columbus with 4 other locations outside Franklin County. It will knock your socks off. The guac is extremely flavorful and not spicy. You can add your own hot sauce to kick it up if you would like or possibly request an add of fresh jalapenos to it. It’s very smooth, I like mine a bit chunkier, but the flavor trumps all! The chips? AH-mazing. Always still hot, not greasy at all. just awesome. Salsa has a good flavor, again I’d like mine a bit chunkier, but the flavor! yum I got a vegetarian combo plate with mine, but subbed in a spinach quesadilla. SOOO good. Not greasy, you could tell the spinach was fresh and not sitting around pre-cooked. This spinach mix comes with mushroom and onions in it. ZOMG! So good with the chihuahua cheese.(picture included) My companion got the quesadilla hawaiianios that featured both chicken and chorizo. He loved it! He actually changed to that selection after I asked the server what his favorite thing on the menu was.(picture included) The server was just awesome — perfectly attentive and my water was always filled. An odd thing to notice, the restrooms were very nicely located. Not one diner would have to look in on them or the foot traffic thereof. Very clean. The booths and chairs are darling, colorful and fun! Can’t wait for the margaritas and tecate to come in November!

A new Mexican restaurant opened close to where I live… so OFCOURSE I had to try it(and I’m so glad I did!!) I had the Fajitas Jalisco. It was hauntingly delicious! The first bite was pure joy. It has shrimp, chicken, steak and chorizo, onions and peppers. I think I’ve found a new favorite. I’ve been to other Mexican places around town that are good… but this place really takes the cake! The chips were fresh, not greasy. And the salsa… I could’ve eaten it with a spoon. Lots of tasty things on the menu I would like to try(and will!) For you margarita drinkers, they don’t yet have a liquor license, but will around September. Great place, friendly service!
