Not nearly as good or fresh tasting ad Chipotle. To top it off the restaurant was messy(tables and bathroom), and they charge you extra for things that aren’t necessary. For example I was charged and $ 1 for extra beans and $.60 for a tortilla flavoring, whatever the hell that is. Reward your wallet and tastebuds and find the nearest chipotle. I won’t be back here… oh, and the burrito I got wasn’t very good at all, this is a cheap-tasting knockoff at a premium price. Oh, on a previous and also crummy visit we showed up on a Sunday when they have a special, it’s like 2 for $ 12 or something like that. Anyhow after mentioning that, they still tried to charge full price. Employees appear aloof and don’t seem to listen.

Way way way to much sauce. I couldn’t even eat it. What waste of money. Everything was cold.

Staff is not friendly, pretty rude actually, the past 2 times I’ve been there seen them cleaning above and around the food without it being covered. This place is a hot mess. Yesterday I left without ordering. I won’t go back. They need a new staff. I’ll make the drive to Chipotle. Do not go here.

Three words — it’s not Chipotle! Not even close. First of all not crowded but slower than molasses. By food was done at the register. Instead of cashing me out he leaves the register to make a Quesadilla for the person 2 placed ahead of me. Why is wasn’t made before they did mine I have no idea. Then he is going to do it again for the person one ahead of me! I got a chicken bowl –not very tasty. So I went and asked for some hot sauce thinking it would help. It didn’t. I couldn’t finish because it just didn’t taste good. Also there were 3 servers that I saw-not one had any personality! How they got hired is beyond me. Run don’t walk to the nearest Chipotle!

Delicious ! Great options for sauces, and I love that. I might even like this more than chipotle.

I’m a fan of Hot Head. The burrito’s are big and filled with whatever you like. I prefer the spicy chicken. It really is just like Chipotle, but with sauce! The Sweet Habanero sauce is fantastic, mix it with the Hot Head sauce. It’s really good!

My first time eating here. The tacos were excellent. They let you make them up the way you want them. Friendly staff as well.

I was nearby and wanted something warm, leaning toward Mexican. There’s Taco Bell, Lomas del Sol, and this place, which I’d never really noticed before. I’d had Hot Head at another location and found it lacking, but I gave this a shot. And had déjà vu… The place is clean, and small– I went at an off time, but if it gets busy it would be crazy. It’s like Chipotle in the way they assemble things and your options; I would say there are more sauce options, but slightly fewer other options. Service was top notch, friendly and helpful, efficient. I had a barbacoa burrito, double meat, plus queso, and chips with guac. By the time you add all that, it’s starting to get pricey. And for what I got, I’d rather have Chipotle. The burrito was fine– flavorful, filling– but barely warm. I seem to remember that from the other location; maybe it’s a corporate plan? But seriously, if I get it made in front of me and eat there, it should be hot. The fillings were fresh and tasty, but I like my food above room temperature, thanks. The chips and guacamole were completely generic and forgettable. There’s free wifi though. I might give them one more chance because there’s not much around there, and I really appreciated the service, but I was definitely disappointed in the food.

Not as nicely seasoned as chipotle and temperature was cold. Chips soso and guacamole very bland(like plain avocado.

Just ok. Really liked this place at first, I have been to a number of locations throughout the state and they are all about the same. Tastes like something I can easily make at home. If your looking for something quick and relatively healthy then they have some decent options if there is nothing else around. Other than that I agree with it lacking taste.

Was trying to get my burrito fix here since it’s close by but I doubt I’ll ever return. The service is good! Food not really. Everything is pretty mediocre. I’ve tried it at least 2 or 3 times and they have always been fails. just didn’t win me over.

Mainly in Ohio, this«quick serve Mexican» chain has similarities to Chipotle, but with a lot more options! As a first time customer I just got a chicken bowl without any of their unique sauces. It was pretty good. The employees were friendly and smiling, even though they were swamped(something I rarely see at their competitor down the road). It was a great change of environment. After leaving I checked out their website where I saw their Hawaiian burrito. Sold. I’ll be going back to try one of these! All and all… I say it’s worth giving it a try ESPECIALLY if you’re a fan of hot sauces!

Ever since hot heads opened up early last year, I’ve been a somewhat regular customer. The staff is courteous and friendly, they have outdoor seating during the summer, the portions are great and I’ve only had them mess up my burrito once(to the clerk’s credit, she looked new). Their location is über-convenient because I can pop in on my way home from work, grab a burrito, and head on home. Their points cards are a nice touch, too. Given the choice between hot heads and chipotle, I’d choose hot heads every time! The location is smaller than your typical chipotle, but they get through their orders quicker.

Hot head is pretty good. This location is missing some operational keys. The employees care and have a lot of energy however I think they are lacking some direction. Quality control needs a little help. This place is not terrible but it’s not great either.

I’ve been here twice. Once right after it opened and then a few days ago for dinner. My first time around, I go a burrito with a bunch of stuff in it. It was pretty good. The last time I was there, I got a bowl… which saves a few calories since you don’t get the tortilla. I don’t realy see much of a difference between Hot Head and other like places such as Moe’s or Chipotle, in my opinion. It’s good for what it is and I’d go back.

Let the Chipotle versus Hot Head battle begin! The prices are about the same, there are more options in terms of meat, toppings and sauces. I have no complaints about the service. We were in and out quickly and the counter staff were friendly and attentive. The food itself was all right. I had a chicken burrito with a bunch of stuff and the signature hot head sauce(which was very tasty). I definitely prefer the white rice at Chipotle. And, while I will be back here(I’m moving near there), I prefer Chipotle.

My husband I went here when it first opened and we were not impressed. He got tacos with beef and I had a chicken burrito. We both ended up with stomach aches much of the night. Since it was new, I decided to give it another chance this week. I had another chicken burrito, this time with the spicy chicken. I like that they have a small and large size of everything. Those giant burritos are just too much and it’s nice to have an option for one that is not only smaller but actually cheaper. This is where my compliments end. There was one person ahead of me in line and one employee waiting on him. I patiently waited my turn while I watched the employee make the food and desperately try to get the attention of another employee in the back so I could be waited on(it wasn’t a long time so it would have been okay if she had waited on me when she was done with the first customer). Another employee came out to make my burrito. He must have been eating in the back because he actually was CHEWINGFOODWHILEHEWAITEDONME. I don’t need to tell you why this is unprofessional and not acceptable at a food establishment. He was very nice and polite, but he WASEATINGWHILEHEWAITEDONME. I took my burrito to go. I asked my husband if he wanted anything and he said no, then when we got in the car he said it didn’t even smell good in there and he was surprised I got something. The burrito was edible. It wasn’t good though. It was not impressive and I didn’t even bother eating much of it. I have to compare this place to Chipotle b/c it is basically the same concept with more options like sizes of meals and sauce options. This place has nothing on Chipotle. I actually made quesadilla last week out of food I was trying to use up(a tortilla, fresh diced onion, grocery store rotisserie chicken and shredded cheese) and that quesadilla was 100 times better than the burrito I had at Hot Heads. Skip Hot Heads and head to Chipotle, the grocery store, Taco Bell, somewhere else. You will be glad I saved you from underwhelming food.

I always love a SHINYNEW place!!! Especially when its only a mile from my house! Basically, this place is similar to a lot of other new places popping up where you pick an item you want, ie: a burrito, a bowl, nachos, whatever… and they make it fresh in front of you with a large«boofay» of fresh«fixin’s». I chose a burrito… added brown rice, a spicy type of shredded beef(had a specific name, but don’t remember… all I know is that it was very good!!), black beans, then I added a ton of toppings including fresh pico, banana peppers, sour cream, fresh guacamole, lettuce, Chilulla sauce(they have 12 different sauces you can choose from… from mild Ranch, up to a spicy hot sauce) and a bunch of other stuff they had! Watching them try and wrap this MASSIVE burrito was quite impressive, but they did it! Between the spicy beef I chose, adding peppers, and chilulla sauce, my burrito had a very nice«zip» to it! There is 4 or 5 differently prepared types of meat to choose from — pork, chicken, and beef. As for topping you can add… a «boofay» of freshness! I was very please with my well over a pound burrito!!! Can’t wait to go back!
