I’ve been wanting to visit here for a while and, recently, I finally got the chance to do just that. Let me tell you, this place is definitely worth a side trip if you’re ever heading down to the coastline. Even if you’re not, the driving time from northern RI is less than going to Chinatown up in Boston so just go on and head south. I love green tea cakes and the green tea Swiss roll was delicious with a filling that wasn’t too sweet. I don’t like overly sweet things. I felt the pork bun was a bit mild flavored but still good. I can just go ahead and say everything I got — including a red bean bun and pineapple bun — was delicious. I can only eat so much, otherwise I would have bought more pastries than I did and I would have eaten them all too. No sharing.

Love the buns here. I tried the pudding bun and pineapple milk bun. They were fresh and soft. I would like more pudding but that is just me. I also loved the strawberry cream cake. The blueberry one is a tad too sweet for me but some may like it. The only thing I don’t like here is the apple pie, too much cinnamon and just not great. And the banana bread I had here was dry. The apple turnover is ok but it is soft and I prefer them more crispy. The caterpillar bun is amazing and has replaced the pudding bun as my new favorite. The staff here is always very nice.

I’m so glad(surprised as well) that a Chinese bakery opened Westerly RI. Selection of well-designed cakes, sweet buns, breads, cookies, coffee, and bubble milk tea(!!!). I would like to see more sweets in the bakery but I am thankful for them because I don’t have to drive miles to the nearest Chinatown to buy my favorite Chinese buns.

I came directly home from an amazing long weekend in rhode island with my boyfriend specifically to write this review for Tin Tin! This place is amazing– nice location, easy to get to and plenty of parking. The people are warm and friendly and the baked goods are exemplary. We went back twice in the four days we were there! We had a variety of goods– the pork bun, ham and scallion, spinach and cheese, pudding bun, everything was to die for. The buns are sweet and fluffy and taste so fresh and home made. This morning we also had iced coffee and bubble tea, both of which were great! I only wish it was closer to home, but my waistline and wallet are happy it’s not! Highly, highly recommend!

Tin Tin has been on my list of new spots to try out for a few months now. It was a super nice weekend day and the tourists were thick in town early, so I figured it would be a great day for a ride down to Westerly. I went in more of a lunch direction, instead of the sweets, although they all looked fantastic and I’m sure they’ll be just as good for a future visit. I had the BBQ Pork Bun and the Ham and Scallion Bun. The Pork Bun was very nice size, light and fluffy — baked golden brown. The bbq pork filling was in just the right proportion to bread and the had more than ample pork to sauce ratio. The ham and scallion bun was also light and airy with a nice sprinkling of ham, scallions and sesame seeds. The saltiness of the ham and sweet scallions complimented each other perfectly. The girl at the counter was very helpful answering my questions and was super friendly. I certainly look forward to trying some of Tin Tins other treats next time I make it down to Westerly. They have the potential to be one of those places I feel I must visit every time I’m in town.

Phenomenal traditional treats(and some standard bakery items). Every single item which I have had, I enjoyed. The owning family & staff were all so pleasant! I will go well out of my way to visit here anytime. I am looking forward to going back soon. I highly recommend the Red Bean Bun!

This place is a great family run Chinese bakery. They have the typical Chinese bakery fare such as milk custard bun, roast pork bun, sesame balls, egg tarts, decorated mini cakes and more. They also have more American style buns that are filled with Apple, raspberry, cream cheese and stuff like that. They also have bubble teas, butter cookies, cookie platters, Chinese style layered cakes and lots of other things. You might be wondering«what’s a Chinese style layered cake?». Well, have you ever eaten a store bought cake and after a few bites you’ve scraped off the remainder of the frosting and put it on the side because it was to darn sweet? Or the taste of the frosting was just down right gross? Or was the cake portion kind of tough? You feel full after one bite? Well Chinese style layered cakes are light and airy. The cake is fluffy. The whipped cream is light and fresh. Never too sweet. And the best part?.. It’s usually filled and topped with fresh fruit! We recently got a freshly made birthday cake. Choose your cake flavor and color. Also choose the toppings and cake outside color and flavor. Being that my 4year old is on a TMNT kick lately we had to get every thing green. So we got a vanilla cake, tinted green. The outside was coated in a green glaze and it had a subtle green apple flavor. They also added a ton of fruits that he liked. The presentation is so beautiful. It was hard to decide who got which slice with which fruits! The cake fed about 10 people and it cost $ 35. I was very pleased with it. Stop in and try a bun. They start at $ 1.25 to maybe $ 2.50 max. Sweet or savory or filling, you’re sure to satisfy your tastebuds here.

They have a great range of food available — from Chinese sweet custard buns to slices of apple pie. My favorite treats from TinTin have been the Three Brothers bun and the taro bun — but I haven’t had a bad meal here yet. Half the fun for me of coming here is trying a new Chinese treat every week! The constant that I get every trip to TinTin is the delicious bubble tea they have — I was so surprised to find bubble tea in a little town like Westerly. My favorite flavor is the taro tea — a uniquely slightly sweet/savory light purple drink. Great food, lovely little seating area, and the staff is always very helpful and happy to explain all the different Chinese treats available.

A delightful stop. A beautifully prepared collection of meat pies, pastries and cakes. The first reviewer mentions there is no place to sit however that situation has been remedied with the addition of a few café tables. Our group was there for lunch and sampled the BBQ Pork Bun, a Scallion and Ham Bun, Curry Beef Pull Bread and Three Brothers Bun. They serve a chilled sweet tea beverage with large pearl tapioca called bubble tea that could best be described as fun. Inexpensive, good quality, this will make a great stop for box lunches or a quick lunch.

My aunt actually first told me about this bakery when she brought pies from there for Thanksgiving. The pies were delicious. We had an apple and a blueberry. They were definitely a hit! I discovered that they were actually open on Christmas day! That was a huge plus. My mom had forgotten to get any desserts so I stopped in and got some pies, apple turnovers, red bean buns and hot dog buns. All were wonderful, fresh and delicious. The pies were even still warm. I went again today just to get the apple turnovers.

I never knew that Chinese bakeries existed, but they do and I have visited. Very friendly clerk who made suggestions and GAVESAMPLES! Reasonable prices and seemingly something for everything. Can’t wait to go back.(and oh it does say café, but there is NO place to sit!)
