Trestle park was named for the rail road that used to go through the prorerty carrying granite from different quarries in Westerly to the main railroad spur for the town. Where it crossed route 91 there were granite walls on each side of the highway that carried the tracks over route 91,” A rairoad Trestle”, hence we named the facility Trestle ParK!
