History

Established in 1998.

Weston Kennels is a small family run dog boarding facility. Owned and operated by the Testo family, it is located just minutes from Albany, in the beautiful Helderberg Mountains of upstate New York. The owners, Chris and Eileen, have been living with and caring for dogs since they met in dog obedience class over 30 years ago. They are reliable and conscientious and have extensive experience with many dog breeds and many aspects of the canine world. Weston Kennels is recommended by both our clients and veterinarians and provides a safe, clean and loving environment for your pet. Your dog’s health, happiness and welfare are a matter of paramount importance when they stay at Weston Kennels!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Chris and his wife Eileen, have been training and caring for dogs for thirty years. They opened Weston Boarding Kennels over fifteen years ago on their peaceful country sheep farm. Their experience with dogs covers many aspects of the canine world. Having Labradors for 25 years, Chris and Eileen have participated in American Kennel Club activities that include conformation shows, obedience trials and retriever hunt tests. Although no longer involved with the Labrador breed they will always have a special place in their hearts. In addition to the retrievers, they also work with their Border Collies on their small sheep farm. In recent years, Chris and Eileen have begun a new chapter in dog training; owning and training their beautiful Belgian Malinois. Chris and Eileen also own a terrific little Jack Russell terrier named Curtis, who has become the Mascot of the kennel. Curtis loves everyone he meets, human or canine, and has lots of fun. The Testo’s are reliable & conscientious!
