Roman’s Barber Shop

Place is a rip off. Came here on a Saturday around 730 pm as a last resort barbershop bc everywhere else was closed.
I went to the second chairman. Only asked for q shape up and to get out excessive hairs from my beard which only took him less than two minutes.
Typical barber, talking sh! t about my previous barber bc that’s what phony’s do.
Ended up charging be $ 22 for a shape up that I could’ve done at home. Didn’t even look like he did anything that’s how bad it came out.
He was telling me how he was Jewish so arguing over the price would’ve been petty and he would’ve probably called the cops and start crying. I saw his smirk on the face after I left because he thought he was the man for charging me a ridiculous price for poor service.
Wouldn’t recommend going even if it were your last resort.

I went in for a haircut I had a while ago and had a picture ready to show to the barber. When he asked me if I wanted an undercut I honestly stated I didn’t know and that I just wanted what was in the picture. Towards the end of the cut he asked if he should trim my beard even though it was already short since I trimmed it the day before. After the whole ordeal I exit the shop with an uneven top and a beard trim that didn’t even follow my jawline, not to mention the hairline towards the back was also slanted and uneven. I got charged 30 dollars for the whole thing and when I went back to et it fixed he literally only cut off a bit more. I had toto to another barber who shaved my whole head entirely and only charged me 5 dollars out of pity.

Very good outfit. I like that they get me in and out quickly and do a great job on my haircut. Go for the weekend Christmas party the weekend before Christmas.

Excellent barber shop! staff is always extremely friendly and they do an excellent job! I wish I can get my haircut from this place when I go up to college. I try to plan out my haircut schedule so I can get my hair cut here, instead of somewhere upstate because it really is the best place in NY to get a haircut.

Just moved to Long Island from the city and had to find a new Barbershop after going to the same excellent barber for 6 years.
Even though I was a stranger, (not a regular), I was immediately greeted in a friendly manner. Arthur took the time to ask me exactly what I wanted. He then did exactly what I had asked for with skill, efficiency, and friendliness.

Got a haircut while on the road. Not a big fan of getting a haircut other than my usual shop. Read reviews and stopped at Romans. Mark gave a great haircut. I’m a business professional and I am very picky with my cuts. Great job Mark. Would Def come back again!

Always a solid haircut. Friendly, outgoing staff. You can’t sit in a chair and not get a great haircut. Kid friendly… it’s just a shame my 3yr old is paranoid! Been going here for almost a year, glad I changed places after 16yrs elsewhere.

First time going here. Very clean inside. Very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Very professional with everything they do. Went in to get a fade, trim on top and to clean up my beard. Couldnt be any happier. Overall great experience!

Nice, clean barber shop that does a decent job. Only problem is that the prices they charge are ludicrous. I came here for several months because it is close to my job, but got sick of paying the ridiculous prices. Haircuts used to be $ 17 but were recently (about a year or less ago) increased to $ 18. Seems like a selfish way for the owner to net more profits for himself while hurting the barbers because they get less of a tip.
I get a basic buzz cut and to pay that kind of money doesn’t make sense considering they don’t do such an amazing job. I now go to a different place (South Shore Barber Shop in Massapequa) where the haircut is much cheaper, better, I can tip more and still pay less than this place, and I get treated better by a barber who is grateful for my business.
