Went for Easter Brunch today and I gotta tell you, as busy as the place was, the food was phenomenal as was the service which was surprising considering common expectation levels on one of the busiest Brunch Days of the year(I score it up there with Mother’s Day). Seriously, the lamb at the carving station I had no high hopes for, but it is one of my favs so I thought I give it a chance. Let me tell you, one of my daughters and I were battling to lick the plate clean! So worth the ride out to the west.

Last year we did a 30 person surprise Birthday brunch. The food, service, etc. were wonderful. Went back a week or so ago — it’s under new ownership(has a new name) and is not nearly as good as it used to be. Very disappointing.

I’ve been there often, both for reasonably priced small functions, and for the brunch. The place is a little dated, but the service is friendly, the food is good, and it is in an easy to get to location.

My wife and I went to brunch on Sunday at the Indian Meadows Country Club in Westborough. It was actually a party for a friend of ours that just came home from Iraq and brunch was included as part of the festivities. The reception hall was decent. The staff seemed like they made an effort to set the tables nicely and they were quick about keeping the water filled and removing the buffet plates as we were finished with them. The food was pretty good. They had a pretty large variety of breakfast items, as well as a couple of lunch choices(pasta, roast beef, ham, etc). Not being a big breakfast person myself, this was a big plus. There were also a bunch of desserts. The quality was pretty good, so overall, the food was thumbs up and I’d go back. I’m not sure what the price was as it was picked up by the hosts of the party, so that’s really couldn’t tell you if it was a decent deal, but based on the amount of people that showed up for brunch that weren’t involved in the party, I’d say it can’t be too expensive. There is a golf course there, but I really have absolutely no clue what to tell you about it, other than the grass was green and I saw some guy duff a tee shot. So it was a good way to spend Sunday morning. Bring our troops home.
