This is the second time I have stayed here. I was here on business. The room was clean, well maintained, a very typical Hampton Inn . Breakfast was the usual. The staff merrit my high ratings… they are always soooo nice. Warm reception, and a nice farewell. Even the maid and maintenance man made me feel welcome and wanted. Now the restaurant next door Cracker barrel was awful. But I will stay here again and again.

I was here on business. Dated rooms that smell like the 1970 smokers motor lodge. My room was towards the Cracker Barrel in the parking lot and I heard lots of noise all night long. I wouldn’t stay here again unless all other hotels were booked solid in the area v

Dated rooms with thin walls. I can hear the elevator and my neighbor flushing their toilet. By far the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in.

I reserved a king bedroom for one night. The first room I was put in was a king bed smoking room. I was told smoking rooms in the hotel do not exist but that’s not true — the room REEKS of cigarette smoke, the door lacks the nonsmoking sign unlike most of the other doors, and the website shows rooms as available for smoking. It felt and looked like I was in a cheap motel. When I finally convince the front desk to change me to a nonsmoking room I get put in a crappy bed in an accessibility room with a crappy shower, and they finally admitted that there used to be smoking rooms but they hired a company to clean them and declassify them. I sense something amiss here — room was not cleaned and did not have new carpets, which is usually what happens when smoking rooms are converted. The next day, I ask the front desk to make things right, as they gave me a room different than what I booked(twice). I get told by the front desk that the problem was fixed, there’s nothing they can do, and that I should be good to go. At the rate I paid in this hotel I’ve gotten much better service and accommodations in nicer areas. Based on my experience here and the staff’s refusal to acknowledge a disservice, I do not recommend this hotel. Maybe the Hilton Garden Inn across the street is a better option. Or maybe not, if it’s managed similarly.

On a whim, I decided to book this hotel to escape the Fairfield Inn I was staying at the previous night. Did I get some decent sleep? Nope! I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns, and by far, this location was the worst in terms of having thin walls. I could hear the neighbor on one side sneezing, and I could hear the other neighbor’s cell phone alarm. Needless to say, it was a difficult morning. I should note Google maps kept forcing me to take the NJ turnpike to come here, but you can easily reach this hotel off of 295 without taking the turnpike. I didn’t go to bed until 1AM due to work, so I can’t really comment much on the room itself. There was nothing special about it, and in some ways, it was VERY basic with an armoire instead of a closet. The bathroom was absolutely TINY, just like the Hampton location at Kansas City’s airport. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re desperate.
