Roch’s Fruit & Produce

I first visited this place a couple of weeks ago. I came across one of their ads that showed some great deals on deli items… Ham, turkey, Kraft cheese, etc… One of the biggest rip offs at all the major markets around now is their only carrying mostly Boer’s Head products in their deli. Their meat and cheese is not only grossly overpriced, but the few times I have decided to get screwed on it, I have not found their stuff to be any better than any other brand. Roch’s is one of the very few places around that doesn’t carry Boer’s Head and really keeps the price down. I make a special trip there every week or so to stock up on their deli meat. As for the rest of the store, watch for the sales. Their meats are excellent quality, like an old time butcher shop. But when not on sale it can be costly. Many of the other staple items are no more expensive than S&S or Shaw’s. Eggs, bread, milk, etc… Watch the prices and enjoy a nice, never too crowded and friendly market with great deli prices all the time… Recommended.

Roch’s is a cute little market, with a little of everything you might need. Produce is always fresh and always looks great. I really like their freezer deals, which I picked up the #3 deal ($ 149) today. This is the way to go to stock up on just about any meat you can think of. They have deals for every budget and they also allow substitutions which is really nice. The meat is top notch, so your saving money by buying in bulk but not compromising on quality. I like that they carry local products, only downside to the store is how it’s divided into 2 separate stores, which don’t connect… not the end of the world though. Friendly staff and plenty of parking makes shopping at Roch’s an enjoyable experience.

Rochs is bar none my favorite shore around. They have many high quality local foods, and great fresh produce. This store has a small neighborhood feel to it, but it doesn’t lack for any fruit or vegetable you might desire. I especially like the clearance rack in the back of the store where you can usually score some incredible deals. If you need a place to buy raw native honey Roche is your place, carrying two varieties from different parts of the state, and the prices are excellent. I cant say enough about this store.

Roch’s is a great place. Fresh, local were possible and great staff. It truly is a ‘local’ super market.
