Description

Specialties

Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home has an on-site crematory for those seeking cremation services. Funeral Directors are on call, day or night, to assist you with whatever need or situation may come about. We have a vast selection of urns, caskets, cremation keepsake jewelry, burial vaults and grave monuments which are showcased in our Selection Room.

The funeral home extends its services with an aftercare program that helps with the grieving process in the loss of a loved one. The aftercare coordinator also puts together an annual memorial service called the «Time of Remembrance». It is a special service for the families served during that particular year. An ornamental dove is given to a family member to bring home for however they wish to use.

The only funeral home in New England to provide «A Greener Funeral» merchandise and techniques in formaldehyde free embalming. www.agreenerfuneral.org (not to be mistaken for the Green Burial Council).

History

Established in 1914.

Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home was created by Rev. Hugh B. Carpenter in 1914 originally located in Providence, RI. The funeral home opened a second facility in West Warwick, RI and eventually closed the Providence location in 1988. In 2000, they expanded the facility almost doubling its size with a new and modern, yet «homey» feel. Then in 2006, White Dove Crematory was added giving the funeral home the advantage of an on-site crematory.

Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home and White Dove Crematory take pride in what they do with Five Generations to prove it.
