Description

Specialties

We are a traditional arcade with a focus on arcade video games. No ticket redemption. We offer classics (Asteroids Deluxe, Zaxxon, Crystal Castles, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga etc.) but we also pick up some of the latest titles (Big Buck HD, Pac-Man Battle Royale, Terminator Salvation, Super Street Fighter IV AE). Some of these games we put online which few arcades bother to do. We have several games no other venue in Utah offers and are extremely rare in general — Dariusburst AC, The Act, ReRave, Mars Matrix, Baby Pac-Man, Toki, Chase HQ2. We also have pinball and air hockey with 45+ games to choose from currently. We track the top scores on each game and for those that make #1, post their picture and score on the game for all to see them as an Arcade Hero!

History

Established in 2008.

Opened in June 2008 at the Valley Fair Mall, we focus on providing as much unique out-of-home entertainment possible to Utah in the form of an arcade. We started out with 23 games, which included a couple of pinball machines an an air hockey table. We also had 6 computers people could play on which was soon upgraded to 8 systems.

In 2009 we had to move inside the mall where we made the best of a smaller location. In 2010 we added Terminator Salvation Arcade to our line-up. In 2011 we expanded as much as we could with new games, setting ourselves apart from other arcades as we became the only place in Utah with these games including Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Pac-Man Battle Royale, Friction and we were honored to become a test location for Taito’s Dariusburst Another Chronicle arcade machine. We are the only place in the US with this game

In January 2012 we moved again to a larger space!

We plan to keep on growing and offering the best new arcade entertainment possible!

Meet the Business Owner

Adam P.

Business Owner

I have always enjoyed video games as far back as I can remember. I came across arcades at the age of six and that started me on a path that led me to want to open up an arcade of my own. I’ve always wanted to be involved in the video game industry and this seemed like a logical way to do it for me. Eventually I would like to design games in addition to operating them at the arcade. I have a small family with two kids that I really enjoy being with. I spend a good deal of time writing, online for Arcadeheroes.com which I own as well as Replay Magazine, an arcade industry trade magazine. I am fluent in Portuguese, which I can read, speak or write. I became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. Favorite TV shows include Star Trek and Mystery Science Theater 3000.
