History

Established in 1989.

West Valley Tae Kwon Do is located in the heart of West Valley City. It is one of Utah’s longest standing Martial Arts Schools and has been open since 1989. Master Ron Overman is head instructor and is a 7^th degree Tae Kwon Do black belt. Ron also draws experience from not only 34 years of Tae Kwon Do, but has a background in boxing, wrestling and cross training in oriental grappling arts, such as Hapkido and Judo. Ron’s original masters are both 9^th degree Grand Masters. West Valley Tae Kwon Do’s main focus is on personal self-​development, physical fitness and self-​defense. We work with beginners teaching them basic martial arts protection and/​or also advanced hand to hand and foot combat. West Valley Tae Kwon Do is a training program and a journey for all to enjoy, for it is refreshing and interesting at the same time.
