Bluefish Taxi

First time on the island wasn’t too sure the best company to call for taxi service. Called alpha taxi at first (only because they were first in the phonebook) the guy on the phone was very rude and had no patience so I hung up. I tried my luck with blue fish and was very pleased the guy on the phone was very polite and patient with me being a newbie to the island. The driver we used was very nice and very helpful we used blue fish the entire week and could not have been happier. Apparently they have a sister company called aquinnah so I would recommend using either of those for all your island transportation needs.

The worst taxi company on the island, 3 major issues:
1) Old, beat –up cars
2) Prices 10 – 15 bucks more per ride than others
3) guy in charge should not be in the service biz, has no manners or even a hint of service mentality (helping with luggage, turning AC off when asked, simply being rude)
Spent a week on the island in Aug 12, 8 of us in total with 3 kids.
Used them 3 times:
1) first time was good
2) beat up car, blasting AC, kid got sick next day
3) car broake down, had to wait extra 45 min with crying kids at 10 at night, did not even apologize or offered a discount
after the last incident, did not want to use them any more
a few alternatives
MV Taxi — used 2, very good, like the owner a lot, local guy
Alantic — used once, vert good, helped with bikes, luggage, etc.

Bluefish did the to– & from– transportation for my wedding & were great to work with. Benoit, their dispacher & manager took excellent notes, & was patient w/​me when I called w/​day-​of changes to pickup locations & called again to get status updates. Completely reliable & nice folks.
