I’ve eaten here a handful of times and haven’t been disappointed once. The service has always been good and the waitresses are always friendly and accommodating. The food has always been good but I think the portion size might be a little on the small side. Restaurant is always clean and I have never had to wait more a few minutes when they are busy.

Skip the $ 5 drink specials. They are currently advertising $ 5 for several great-sounding drinks. I had the«classic steakhouse martini» which contains«New Amsterdam vodka or gin, olive juice and hand-stuffed blue cheese olives.» Mine was to be a gin martini. At this particular Longhorn location, the drink’s were NOT made at the bar itself — the bartender made them in a small area hidden from view of the bar patrons. While a gin martini is mostly gin, this drink had essentially NO alcohol in it, maybe 0.25 oz(a shot is 1.5 oz). While New Amsterdam’s gin is just 40% alcohol vs the typical 47.2% in most gins, that’s not the reason for a watered-down to-nothing martini. Stick to the beer or wine selections at this location. Bar service was fair. Food items: hamburg ordered by friend was overcooked and french fries were low grade. Porterhouse steak(20 oz) was cooked as ordered, but the meat itself was just OK — not a bad cut of steak but not a great one either. The filet side of the porterhouse was quite small — I’d have guessed it was 4 ounces. The huge parking lot is convenient, as is the next-door shopping at a giant liquor store. The men’s bathroom was clean. After we left, we remembered we were never offered the bread that Longhorn is noted for.

Food quality was pretty bad. My salad was a complete soggy mess and my husband’s chicken finger plate came with mushy fries. Service was so-so but pretty low quality.

The food and service was very good and I would recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is with the other diners. Wearing your pj pants is not casual attire. Neither is a dirty t shirt. I know the manager probably can’t refuse service but if he could have, the place would have been half as full.

I have been for lunch a few times now and overall always had a good meal. The lunch combos are a nice option and the soups are always pretty good. Recently I tried the blackened tilapia sandwich and it was very, very good! Definitely my favorite thing I’ve tried so far! The only reason it’s down a few stars is the very slow service. We’ve just realized that we can never go there unless we have a good chunk of time to stay there. It can be a long, long wait at times for the check after you’ve finished your food. But the food does keep us coming back and I’ll definitely be back for that tilapia sandwich.

Food was good. Wait was too long. Someone should really check the bathroom. 5:30 and it was a mess. Disgusting.

My family and I went there around 3pm for a late lunch. Thought it would be a fairly quick stop considering the time. We ordered our food and waited close to 45 minutes for 2 kids meals, an appetizer &2 express lunch meals. The appetizer Was completly forgotten about by either the waitress or kitchen. When our lunches came out the French onion soup was cold, a kids meal was wrong and the beer I ordered was not the beer I got. We b rought our concerns to the waitstaffs attention but all we got was an empty stare and the full bill shortly after. Sadly enough I really went there for the appetizer we never got. The rest of the problems didn’t help. Sorry longhorn… Probably won’t be seeing you again…

I went here with my family of 4 for an early dinner. The waitress was wonderful and very sweet. She did forget to put in a side order of ours and we had to eat our dinner without it, but I’m giving her a spread for basic human error. The food was GROSS. The fries were stone cold. The steak was chewy. My fish dinner cost $ 20.00 and I guarantee it was microwaved. How else could it be cold and rubbery on the outside and hot int he middle? SHAME on the chefs for serving that crap. I would fire them all and hire new cooks.

Seriously good food and steak! I ordered my very first steak at Longhorn and actually really liked it, which is surprising for me. The meat was perfectly cooked as to how I asked and was so tender and delicious. My first time I got the Flo’s Filet steak and my boyfriend got the Ribeye steak. His was so flavorful with a wonderful smokey taste and mine was just a classic perfect steak. The second time I went I got the NewYork Strip which I really enjoyed as well. Service was great, food was great.

This joint is jumping! On a Friday nite at 6:30 it is almost an hour wait, and people are lined up. The bar is full and it is noisy. Families, couples, and every mix of people are here to eat. The receptionist is oh so polite to each and every person, whether they wait or leave. She is so skilled and nice. I was standing there for some time and she was oh so consistent. We were seated and the wait time was spot on. The shrimp appetizer and the warm bread came soon and quelled the big appetite. The pork ribs were fall off the bone tender and the grilled corn on the cob was done just right. Come Early is the big tip here! Enjoy. Thanks Springfield.

Was not encouraged for the forty minute wait we were briefed about having to endure to get some dinner, which turned into an hour. The hostesses were very kind and tried their best to accomodate everyone waiting especially as we saw a family of twelve with several children and two handicapped special needs adults that waited for nearly forty minutes as well while they scrambled to get together a big enough area for them to be together. The lights went off on our device and they apologized for the wait. We were seated and our waitress then thanked us for waiting. Then she wisked us over fresh hot bread and two ice cold waters in like a minute after seating us while we were still looking at our menus. She was awesome and über friendly. The manager thanked us for coming and waiting then as well. The food came not too long after. Salads were cold, crisp, and fresh. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy and tender. The burger was huge and chock full of fresh toppings. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and buttery. Overall it was fresh hot and worth the wait. The waitress overheard it was my birthday and we had a possee of singing waitpeople wishing me happy birthday and we split the complimentary free hot fudge sundae which was delicious. Worth the wait!

I called this place today to find out if they had space to host a large group of people. Their response was to call the morning of(11 am) to find out whether they could provide space. I clarified that this was for a large group of people all traveling from different locations in new england… and that confirmation the day of was not helpful at all. That was the best they could offer. The employee speaking to me was pleasant, apologetic, and trying to be helpful but restaurant policy rules this place out for large get togethers.

I stop in from time to time with a hightened hope that things have gotten better. but, to no avail, I am diappointed. Food tastes good but is «just enough» to say they gave you what you ordered. Service is okay. Go accross the parking lot and have a better lunch!

OK. so its a chain but they really try hard to give you a decent bang for your buck. Food quality is always above average… pricing is more than fair… service can be hit or miss… décor is pleasant. what more do you want? last night I had the outlaw rib eye. decent, flavorful piece of meat… tasted like it just came off the grill at home… only better! served with mashed potatoes… delicious. my salad was fine… nothing out of the ordinary… with blue cheese. wife had the salmon… with rice and green beans. she enjoyed very much… she had a strawberry salad which she said was a winner. BTW. they serve delicious honey wheat bread… nice and warm with plenty of butter… our server seemed to have an attitude… very hands on manager arrived to assist her… menu looks like it now has many lower priced options… Darden(the parent company)…has been having some problems. hope this chain doesn’t go the route of bonanza and ponderosa. very similar to what you’d get at outback or texas Roadhouse.

Pretty good for a steak chain. The service is good and the food is also good; not as good as the high end chains(Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s, etc.) but still good. They have some great appetizers(shrimp & crab dip!) and desserts too.

Both stars go to the bartenders! They are really great. The rest, unfortunately I could do without. Country music for starters is as close to hearing a knife scrape across someone’s plate. It’s played here every day, and played plenty loud. The staff is trained very well. Too well. The presentation is so canned it kills me, and individual personality of the waitstaff. Typical major chain. Hi, my name is Jenny. I will be your server tonight. Can I start you off with an appetizer, perhaps some of our highly processed fresh out of a box and into our microwave or blast furnace? We also have a 700oz sugar water margarita for $ 15.99. Let me know, because it might take three of us to carry it over to your table. Not much irks me more than when asked how I want my steak, and I reply«medium rare», only for them to explain to me what medium rare is. Not only is it an international standard, it’s also printed in the menu — RARE: Cool, red center MEDIUMRARE: Warm red center, with a hint of pink MEDIUM: Warm pink center MEDIUM-WELL: Some pink in center WELL: No Pink, cooked all the way through. Reminds me of watching the flight attendants explain how to put on a seatbelt. Imagine how much service could be quickened if it wasn’t for all of the canned speeches and the repetition with everyone’s order. The steaks in all honesty are quite good. Good quality. Cooked well. If you are local, hungry, have earplugs(or god forbid enjoy country music), don’t mind processed food, and want a good steak, then go sit at the bar and enjoy the bartenders.

Most of the time the food is correct and the service is pleasantly quick and attentive. But it has been so bad we didn’t come back for over a year. I wish it was more consistant, and that more of the staff was pleasant.

Go here for Lunch if you are under 40. Dinner if you are over 40. The service is always decent enough, but most of the great burger/sandwich options available from the lunch menu are gone at dinner time.

Longhorn’s is my go-to place when I just want a good burger. I’ve had the filet and the sirloin here, and it’s been hit-or-miss. I’ve had some good steaks, I’ve had some horrendous ones. But a few weeks ago, I went there for lunch with my pops and just wanted a burger so I ordered the black-and-bleu burger. It was the traditional blackened-burger topped with bleu cheese, LTO with fries. The burger was big and delicious. Since then, I’ve been back twice for lunch and once for dinner where this burger was not on the menu, but I asked about it and the server told me the cooks could definitely make it during dinner when someone asks. I’ve had two apps here. The firecracker chicken wraps could be great if they weren’t coated with salt on the outside. But that avocado-lime dipping sauce is amazing. I do like their house-made chips, but highly recommend asking for the avocado sauce rather than the BBQ that it comes with. Of all the chain restaurants on Riverdale Road, this one is definitely one of my top 2 or 3.

This is a great steakhouse if you like steak. If you’re a Vegan, you would probably faint when you walk in the door. The décor is pretty cool and service was decent the two times we went. It does get crowded on occasion so use common sense when you go. If you try to go before a game or on a Friday, don’t say I didn’t warn you! The steaks are huge and the portions above average. I’ve had the Chicken Breast, Porterhouse and New York Strip and they were all cooked exactly to order. The Margaritas are fair to good and are a must when I go. They have a shrimp app that I have(can’t remember the name) that I have been trying to duplicate and can’t seem to, it’s the best! All in all, a pretty decent place for a chain.
