West Seneca Public Library

Family friendly and has a lot of things for children as well as adults to do. It isn’t the most high tech library but it gets the job done!

I’ll be honest. I literally live here. For reasons I don’t quite understand they have a better «new selection» than other EC Public Libraries. They were also not affected by budget cuts when other libraries in this area were. Fantastic place with tons ‘o reading material.
My issue is with the staff. Not Angela, she has been most helpful, however the older staff is, well, cranky.
Not the first time but there was a mistake on my account. Anyone who reads knows this stuff is available online. I saw the error and contacted BEPL online and was told to contact my local branch. OY VEY! NO!
After not getting an answer via phone call… just a recording telling me the business hours — several times — I finally spoke to someone who was curt, nasty and ready to send me to the quiet corner of the library. With a dunce cap. After some verbal repartee, we got the situation under control. I have not checked to see if it’s been solved/​rectified.
Anyway. Wonderful place for exceptional reads… staff not so nice. Don’t ask for help and you will do just fine.
