I was passing through the neighborhood and decided to stop here on a Friday night.
The good:
Plenty of parking. Well staffed, I believe there was 2 – 3 people working.
The bad:
My first thought when I walked in was: Is this place going out of business? It’s not a large store but the place is half empty. Empty liquor shelves. Half empty beer cooler. I just came in looking for a case of Miller Lite, but all I found was empty space in the cooler where it was supposed to be. In fact there was none available in cans whatsoever. I can understand if I was looking for an obscure brand, but what store doesn’t have name brand piss light beer available on a Friday night? It looked like the cooler hadn’t been re-​stocked in weeks, with a lot of empty space across multiple brands. Whatever the reason, they have some inventory issues.

So I live close and have checked this place out a few times. Great service from everyone (I swear like 5 people were working the small place). The wine selection is getting to be pretty good now. It’s a small place but they hit all the bases, I found everything I needed. The last time I was there they boxed everything and even helped me to my car in the rain. Every time now the people are super engaging and nice. Really it’s a small spot but they do a great job with the space. I am giving them a 5 for the personnel, though. I can get the same booze anywhere really. Plus they deliver! How awesome is that?! Really.

This place has definitely changed from the other two reviews… Nowak’s has a bit of everything for everyone and their craft beer section is amazing. The staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable, as they often have tastings and are more than happy to share what they think about the different products they sell. While they do not sell super expensive stuff, a lot of their inventory is tried, tested and true stuff that is great for old timers and newbies alike!

Long time ago the service at nowaks was great they had and were able to get hard to find things. Now they seem to just be a standard liqueur store with poor service and selection. They are over priced compared to the booze mart

I’ve been to Nowak’s many times, mainly when I didn’t want to drive another mile and a half to get to a decent liquor store. Nowak’s is overpriced with a scant choice of liquors. My last time in there, without prompting, I was told a racist joke by the mustachioed cashier. I don’t know who he thought I was, but needless to say, I’ll be buying my BOOZE from a less expensive MART down the street from now on.
