I was referred to this small garage by a co-​worker, and I had never heard of it before and it was such a good experience I wanted to personally make sure this business had a Unilocal page.
I went into this garage looking for a major tune-​up for my 100,000 mile Ford Ranger. Matt is the owner and operator of this business and he discussed the scope of the work I was requesting and he personally wrote me up a quote in just a few minutes. I spoke with him while he was getting my quote and learned that he was a diesel mechanic in the Army and that was where learned the right way to get a job done even before he got ASE certified.
When I came to pick up my truck later that day he was almost done and walked me through what he had done and told me about the last thing he was about to finish up. One thing I noticed about his work is that he is very meticulous about getting everything perfect and making sure there there isn’t any oil or grease anywhere it shouldn’t be. He also references torque specs before tightening anything down which is more than I can say for oil shops that put the filter on so tight you have to break it to get it back off.
Overall my experience was great, and his prices were very comparable to what it would’ve cost me to buy parts to do it myself. The garage itself is tucked away in a small alley of shops and can be easy to miss. There was no separate office from the garage, he just keeps a desk and computer tucked in the back of the garage, so you can just walk in the door or call ahead like I did. Also, to my surprise he accepts Paypal and credit cards which worked out great for me. I would highly recommend Onpoint Motorworks for anyone that needs any kind of auto/​diesel repair or maintenance.
