Matthew Wampler, OD

I discovered Dr. Wampler over 10 years ago. I mangled a pair of glasses and needed them repaired, so I walked in and asked if they could help me. Even though I hadn’t bought those glasses there, they fixed them for me — no charge. My whole family and I have been regular customers since. When my daughter was little, she mangled her glasses as only a kid could do. I wasn’t even sure they could be repaired. I walked in with her and when the technician looked at the frames, she asked, «Did a dog get hold of these?» I said, «We’re gonna go with that». It’s one of my favorite parent moments. They did magic and got her frames back together. I’ve always felt that I am receiving quality eye care there, and when there is a problem the staff is friendly and supportive. I always feel that I am a valued customer, even when it’s after the sale support.

I went to Dr Wampler’s office several times, wanting to like it because it is so close to my house. I cannot say that anything stood out as horrible, but nothing was impressive, either. The optometrists are professional, but rushed, and mis-​measured my eye pressure. The front desk is friendly, but there is usually several minutes of delay talking to them, as they are answering phones. The staff who helps pick and fit frames are SOOOOOOOOO inefficient. I got my reminder card for an appointment, and now I’m using Unilocal to find a new place to try.
