Caring Connection Children’s Center specializes in a play-​based preschool and day care program for children 2 – 6 years. Visit and See! At Caring Connection we firmly believe in visiting without an appointment. At our school you never have to make an appointment. We are a play-​based program packed with learning for the preschool child. We find inspiration through our emphasis on nature and many of the top philosophies, while providing balance to the children. Our class groups are: The Buddies (2 – 3 year olds), The Pals (3 – 4 year olds) and The Friends (4 – 5 year olds). All of our age groups are based on development, not birthdays so this is just a guideline for parents. We happily accept children who are still in diapers and will work as a team with parents to assist in Independent Toileting.

History

Established in 1996.

Caring Connection Children’s Center opened its original campus in 1996. Owner and Executive Director Julie Jenkins Sathe is also the author of Enlightened Discipline. Enlightened Discipline is a simple set of techniques that are used to teach behavior rather than to reward and punish. All three campus locations follow similar program structure and style, while each has a unique environment inspired by the staff. We are not a cookie-​cutter center yet you will find our philosophy and blend of styles to be accurate at any location.

Business Owner

Julie Jenkins Sathe is the author of «Enlightened Discipline» and the owner of Caring Connection Children’s Center. Julie has been a passionate Early Childhood Educator and owner/​director for 30 years. Originally the founder of Hand-​In-​Hand preschool in the late 1980’s, Julie is now the Executive Director of two locations of child care programs, Caring Connection Children’s Center. The original location in West Sacramento includes infant care through pre-​school and the new location in Midtown Sacramento, childcare and preschool, ages 2 – 6. Julie Jenkins Sathe is a two-​time author and professional speaker. She speaks throughout California for parents and educators and has traveled as far as Europe to share her speaking skills. Julie Jenkins Sathe is funny, a bit unruly and leaves audiences of parents or teachers dazzled and laughing with her energy and ideas. She is the author of «Enlightened Discipline» and «Teens! Change is Your Choice». Julie is married with four grown children.
