Established in 2007.

Delectable Desires Pastries started in my kitchen in 2007 fast forward to 2015 and we have our first brick and mortar location in West Roxbury.

Business Owner

Carlene started Delectable Desires Pastries in 2007 after graduating from Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Porter Square. DDP started as a wholesale business supplying fresh baked muffins, scones and croissants to various café’s throughout Boston. Simultaneously, Carlene began perfecting her cake skills while building a strong cake clientele in Boston and RI. Securing wholesale accounts with Whole Food Market, catering for corporate clients along with building a strong cake base, our first retail location was born.

Amazing! Delectable Desires Pastries is a fabulous bakery. I agree with a previous reviewer that the sticky buns are probably the best I’ve ever had. The cinnamon rolls and brownies are also exquisite.
What I find most amazing about DDP, however, is their cakes! I’m totally blown away by them, and the designs are so incredibly detailed. It seems like they can do anything! The owner is extremely talented and clearly has so much love and passion for what she does.

Incredible. The best pastry shop in the area. Sitting here as I type this eating a sweet roll which is loaded with walnuts and is absolutely perfect. Everything we buy at this shop is perfect. The cupcakes, cakes, brownies, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. Now you can sit and have your sweet inside at the new window seat. Go! You’ll love it.

My daughter’s birthday cake was delicious and beautiful!!! Thank you so much. Everyone at the party raved about how gorgeous it was and she just loved it. The fresh strawberries inside were a big hit too. I particularly liked that you were so accommodating when I placed the order and the price was very competitive. We’ll definitely be back! Fantastic new bakery. Great coffee. Amazing pastries. The best sticky bun I’ve ever had. Fantastic brownies. Very smooth cupcakes with butter cream frosting. The chocolate chip scones are superb. Everything is beautiful decorated.
I can’t say enough great things about this place. Great location. Parking on the street. The owner is cheerful. The place is spotless. The selection is ever changing. All around one of the best in west Roxbury.

Delectable Desires Pastries is a delicious addition to West Roxbury. The storefront is very simple, elegantly modern and clean. Nothing is hidden from the customers eye; with an open operation behind the counter one can see the whole process. Then the center of attention returns to the display case, which is view-​able from the street, and the deliciousness it contains.
I tried three of the pastries in the case: the sticky bun, the chocolate chip brioche and twice baked brioche. I was blown away about how uniquely flavorful each treat was; I’m talking melt in your mouth sugary goodness. For the amount of work and attention that was clearly put into each pastry in the case one would think the price would be higher, however it was very inexpensive. Overall Delectable Desires Pastries is a delightful bakery and is a must try for anyone in the area. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
Just tried the blueberry muffin too. It was basically the best muffin I can remember eating. Normally I only eat the top, but I could not stop with this one. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with anything in that case.
