I usually never post a negative review of a place, because I figure the bad ones will eventually fail on their own because of their bad service. But seeing the bad experiences other customers have had, I feel obligated to validate those by sharing my own bad experience. I booked joint appointments for my daughter and I for pedicures. In the past, my teen daughter and I had been done by a very nice younger woman in the very comfortable basement treatment room, with comfortable lounge chairs, soft music, over all spa-like environment. The very last time we booked, an older woman(manager?) did us in a groundfloor alcove with only one chair which I let my daughter have(this appointment was a gift to her, so it was only right). The woman then asked me to sit on a backless stool on wheels, usually used by a nail technician, and proceeded to do my nails! I normally have no problem speaking up if I feel I’m being badly served, but sadly, I agreed because, as I said, this was a gift for my daughter, who was attending a prom the next day and wanted her toes done. To make matters worse, the older woman’s 2 young grandchildren proceeded to pile into the already crowded alcove, acting bratty. Unbelievably unprofessional! I should have cancelled the appointment with the promise to take daughter someplace else. Lesson learned — always have a backup plan if you need a service for a special event. Needless to say, we never went back. This strikes me as a place that is fine if you are friends of the owner or manager, otherwise, forget it!

Eh not great. I had a good trim with Dee once a while ago and she was attentive to my wishes; however, my next appointment was with Rosa and left a lot to be desired. I have thin hair and asked for just a straight trim, no layers, no fancy requests. She made small conversation but while blow drying my hair was just starting at the window as my hair smoked. When she trimmed my hair, she never asked me to uncross my legs, remove my glasses, or how I parted my hair and she literally make five cuts which took roughly 4 minutes. That’s it. Five snips of her scissors and then the most absent minded blow dry I’ve ever received. I was so unimpressed that I put my hair up in a clip and just left after paying. I always give 20% tip and did so in this case but I am pretty annoyed that I paid $ 72 after tip for the most unthoughtful salon service I’ve ever received. I am not a fancy person and don’t expect a great deal but holy cow, her service was so impersonal. The salon is clean and the greeter was friendly, hence the 2⁄5 stars. Updated review: I contacted the business the next day because I didn’t want to hide behind a computer screen and wanted to give feedback to the source and they never responded. Poor customer service.

Unfortunately I won’t be coming back. When I walked in the door I wasn’t treated very well by the manager. She seemed very disingenuous. There was a situation that I feel was at the fault of the salon and instead of fixing the issue they were more concerned about money. I’m appalled at how it was handled. The salon seems very clicky. Not happy with the way I was treated. If you’re looking for a salon look elsewhere!

I have been a client here for many years and I have to say that I love it there. The stylists are top-notch and they cater to your every need. It’s a small salon with only a small selection of spa services but they are the go-to place for hair care. They are so welcoming and the environment is so clean and up to date. All of the stylists are great but I prefer Lou Lou and Rose.
