Our experienced team is also able to provide you with everything from custom favor cookies, corporate gift baskets, high end plated desserts for large groups and the areas best Parisian Macarons. Our playful mid-western spirits combines with flawless French technique to transform the finest ingredients into the star of your event. ‘the sugar monkey’ crafts absolutely everything from scratch using King Arthur flours, Cabot butter, fresh and local Lake Meadow Farm eggs, Cocoa Barry Chocolates and the freshest personally selected seasonal fruit.
History
Established in 2006.
‘the sugar monkey’ has been supplying Palm Beach County and South Florida with the finest custom cakes and treats for the last eight years. After much success at the West Palm Beach Greenmarket and with private clients, ‘the sugar monkey’ moved into its current Sugar Factory and Cake Studio in 2009. In addition to satisfying the sweet tooth’s of our private clients, we also partner with selected local caterers and restaurants as well as supplying Shake Shack’s Florida stores with their Concrete Mix-ins such as the Key Lime Pie Oh My!

Business Owner
Originally from Ohio, Jennifer grew up between dairy farms and small family restaurant kitchens developing a passion for cooking and a strong work ethic. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America’s Pastry Arts program, she moved to Manhattan’s Beacon Restaurant. After landing a spot at Daniel Boulud’s Café Boulud NY with Pastry Chef Remy Funfrock, Jennifer found her raison d’etre. The intense focus and precise technique required to be successful in that kitchen led to the position of Executive Pastry Chef at Café Boulud Palm Beach. After eight years with Daniel, Jennifer started The Sugar Monkey to concentrate on her love of cake: specifically the soulful Midwestern cakes she recalls growing up, enhanced with French technique. Jennifer and The Sugar Monkey team craft their sweets 100% from scratch and are well versed in all aspects of classic and modern pastry; giving them the advantage of being your one stop shop for all your sweet needs.
