Cathleen Scott & Associates, P.A. offers quality legal services to employers and employees in the areas of labor and employment as well as healthcare law. Our firm offers consultation and representation for employees subjected to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and with questions about their wages, health benefits, unemployment, overtime pay, employee status, compensation agreements, non-competes and employment contracts.
We also represent employers. We provide a number of services, including representation, counsel and assistance in the creation and updates of employee policies, handbooks and contracts. We also provide sexual harassment training and FLSA and OSHA compliance audits.
Meet the Business Owner
Cathleen S.
Business Owner
Cathleen Scott was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998 and has been Board Certified by the Florida Supreme Court in the areas of Labor and Employment Law since 2006.
Ms. Scott is a certified mediator and co-owner of ARC Mediation. She regularly lectures on employment law topics as well as alternative dispute resolution.
She currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section and chairs the communications and social media committee. Additionally, Ms. Scott is an active member of the National Employment Lawyer’s Association (NELA), and is Vice President to the Association’s Florida Chapter (FL NELA). She is a member of the Florida Association of Women’s Lawyers (FAWL) and a former chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law CLE Committee Section.
Ms. Scott is an accomplished litigator who practices in both state and federal courts. She is licensed in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
