Peppino’s Restaurant & Pizza

Unbelievably good pizza!

I was in the mood to try a new Italian place last night so I stopped into Peppino’s. The food and service was pretty good and I had already told the person I was with that I wouldn’t mind going back. That’s when things went downhill…
I was watching the news on their TV as we waited for our bill when a huge mouse/​rat/​small cat came out from behind the soda machine, ran up the cable wires and into the ceiling. I was disgusted. To make matters worse, one of the cooks was on a break sitting at the bar watching the same TV and didn’t even budge when it happened. There’s no way he couldn’t have seen it, which makes me think that this is a problem they’re aware of and care nothing about.
I probably should have made a bigger deal about it at the time… but I paid my bill and left vowing to my guest that we will never return. There are far too many good Italian restaurants that at least don’t have mice running around in broad daylight.

You won’t find me back there anytime soon. Pasta overlooked, marinara sauce not too tasty and chicken parmiginia portion grade «C+»

Doughy rolls, very thinly sliced chicken and eggplant. Not a great dining experience

Went to this place while my entire family was together a couple days after Christmas because we had a coupon for $ 50 off $ 100. In essence, don’t judge a book by its cover. The place was cute, nothing fancy. The wine selection was scarce because the waitress (who was EXTREMELY nice — Marissa/​Melissa?) said that no one goes there and orders wine so the owner never stocks a lot. The bathrooms had a horrible stench. BUT THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC! Maybe it’s more of a take-​out place than a sit-​down place but if I didn’t live across the country, I would eat here all the time. For starters we had salads, mozzarella sticks, and bruschetta — all very tasty. We had a couple of pizzas, a veal parm, a chicken parm, and some penne a la vodka going around the table — EVERYONE was more than satisfied with their food!!!
