History

Established in 2015.

In honor of my precious daughter Sophie, and in gratitude for all that she has taught me and given me it is my honor to dedicate this Bake Shop to her. Without her I may have never found the strength to become the person I am today.

«Nina» is Sophie’s nickname; it originated from my youngest child’s inability to say her name when he was learning to speak. Sophie immediately began to respond to «Nina», as if it was her name and the rest is history.

Business Owner

Hi I’m Charity, the owner and operator of Ninas Bake Shoppe. My passion for food began as a child, my grandfather who was a butcher in Cuba nurtured it, he was always in the kitchen and I was right there with him. He would make the best traditional Cuban dishes and desserts and I had the privilege of being his little assistant. Through the wonderful experiences I shared with him my passion for food grew.

I always new I was gifted in the kitchen, which is where I have always found my Zen. I had dreams of owning my own restaurant but those dreams would take a back seat to my growing family. As my children grew I began to incorporate my love of food into our everyday lives. It was through these experiences that I realized I wanted to be a Pastry Chef and with that validation I knew one day I wanted to own my own Bake Shop.

Today I am a proud mom of a bunch of great kids. In particular to a little girl named, Sophie. Sophie was born with a rare genetic disorder called Cri du Chat S
