This is a delightful ice cream shop and so much more. They have natural juice drinks that are in the front case in big bins with a huge ladle in each. I tried the beverage that tastes like rice pudding. It was so good I wish I had some right now. They also have fresh fruit popsicles some just fruit and some with cream. Having made these myself I thought they do an excellent job. They have many different flavors to pick from. I have to try a mango one when I go back. Finally, the ice cream is unique, creamy and delicious. I enjoyed sampling Besos de angels but who wouldn’t! It was vanilla with really cherries and walnuts. We ended up getting a medium(size of a large anywhere else). I picked half coconut and half coffee. The combination is dreamy. The coconut had real pieces of fresh shredded coconut in it and the coffee had a rich flavor that lingers on in your mind. I am sure to go back but next time I’m taking half of my daughter’s dorm with me. This place beats any ice cream at City Place by a mile.

Tasty, authentic Mexican specialty ice cream shop. On a recent visit, I left my purse in the bathroom. Backtracking the next morning, I realized I had left it in the bathroom here and called to ask if it were still there. I was happy to hear that they had it and the owner Cesar was keeping it for me. Not only a great authentic menu, but an owner with integrity and honesty… it is a privilege to support this kind of business in our community!

Very«cool» little ice cream shop– worth the effort to get there!(It’s currently in a construction zone) So many amazing and unusual(to me) flavors, like mamey(a fruit) with pine nuts, lemon & vanilla, walnut(yummy!), cappuccino(my favorite!), and cheese– yes, cheese– ice cream. There was also an impressive selection of ice cream bars and frozen bananas, which were dipped in chocolate and toppings like coconut or nuts. There were also toppings available for the ice cream, and chocolate-dipped cones, and probably a gazillion other sweet treat options, but we were mesmerized by the ice cream selection and don’t regret our choice for one second!

I only rated this 5 stars because a sixth star isn’t available. In an age where ice cream shops have become overproduced boutiques, and the flavors are the same from one shop to another, this little store, located in the soon to be Publix Shopping Center on the corner of Belvedere and Georgia, stands out from the crowd. The ice cream is freshly made daily, and the flavors are as unique as the area. Everyone is bound to find a flavor that they can enjoy. Sure, they have the normal stuff, such as chocolate, vanilla, and rocky road. But they also have cherry, with loads of fresh cherries, mamey, and grape, all made with exactly what the name of the helados(Spanish name for ice cream) suggests. The menu board is written entirely in Spanish, as the majority of the clientele is hispanic. However, ice cream is universal, and with a small amount of Spanish language knowledge, and help from the bilingual staff behind the counter, even your average white guy can figure it out with ease. If you’re anywhere around this amazing place, and have a hankering for something a little different than the blasé competition, be sure to check it out. It might even become your favorite ice cream stand. I know it’s mine!
