Specialties
At the K9 Perceptions School for Dogs we focus on «bringing out your dog’s full potential.» To do this we teach communication skills through obedience and behavior modification. We can help you with basic training such as obedience and normal behavior issues (jumping, hyper energy, barking, potty training, destructiveness, leash pulling, etc.). We can also help you with more advanced behavior issues such as aggression, anxiety, and phobias. We are a team of trainers that deal with these advanced issues on a daily basis. We use techniques based off learning theory and scientific methods.
We offer free initial consults so you can come meet us in person as well as tour our 10,000 sq ft facility. We are confident that you’ll love our facility and what we have to offer. Thank you for viewing our page. Please feel free to check out our Facebook page, google plus page, and our website for more info or even better give us a call and we can discuss things in more detail over the phone.
History
Established in 2009.
K9 Perceptions was started by Caleb Frisbee. He is the owner and overseeing trainer of all the dogs we work with. He started training dogs as a vet tech working side by side with veterinarians. He pursued his education through veterinary conferences. Eventually he began to be subcontracted out by veterinarians to help their clients’ dogs that had severe behavior issues. This led to him creating K9 Perceptions in 2009. The name K9 Perceptions was chosen because he wanted to share the dogs’ point of view with clients to establish the best communication and training as possible. The company formed in Jacksonville and since has opened a location in Georgia and most recently in West Palm Beach Fl.
Meet the Business Owner
Caleb F.
Business Owner
Hi my name is Caleb Frisbee and I’m the owner of K9 Perceptions. I started training dogs as a fun hobby at 13. It didn’t take long before I had found my desire and was hooked. I began competing in dog training competitions for fun and reading every book I could on the topic. After doing this I began being approached by different people who wanted help with training their dogs. It wasn’t long before my hobby turned into a job. When I turned 18 I started working as a vet tech and building a dog training business. I didn’t last long as a tech before I had to go full time with dog training to keep up with training requests. I did learn some valuable lessons as a tech because I knew I would eventually go full time as a trainer I took every chance I had to develop my knowledge in the industry. As a tech I was able to go to vet conferences & sit in on behavior lectures. This type of education coupled with the lifetime of experience contributes to the techniques used by our trainers today.
