Delicious new restaurant in WPB. We’ve been eagerly waiting for this to open. Fulfilled my expectations. Generous portions. Delicious

Went for brunch today. I expected to be blown away, and while it was good, it wasn’t spectacular. My wife’s eggs benedict was the best dish. The waitress was great… as was her service. No complaints there. I don’t understand, however, how a restaurant could be out of cream at the 11am start of Sunday Brunch. Send someone to Publix, for crying’ out loud! My wife is in a wheelchair, and there are no ramps at the valet parking area(which is the only option). So would I recommend it? Yes. But not as enthusiastically as I had expected.

Great food(fresh ingredients), service, atmosphere and cocktails! I would absolutely recommend this to our friends. Kind of noisy, so not a place I would bring my grandma.

Great meal at Grato tonight. Heirloom tomato appetizer was superb and paccheri pasta was wonderful as well. We will be back to try the Branzino soon.

Brunch-a-souras What a great place both beauty and food in abundant amounts. Could not find a single item that was not great. Have to say the scones were the best I’ve ever had. If there was a negative it has to be the hard surfaces create a noisy environment. However, this is the best brunch I have found in WPB.

I ate here last month, the food was TODIEFOR! I had a homemade pasta with a rich meat sauce. Very crowded so you need reservations. Great atmosphere.

Cool and well appointed place. Food was ok to above average, Service was prompt and attentive, the NOISELEVELWASINTOLERABLE. We were a party of 6 at a round 6 top for a mid week dinner. The cacophony of noise was so loud that I could not hear the folks next to me without moving in, let alone anyone else at our table. This was supposed to be a nice dinner at a new place in town, not grabbing a bite to eat while sitting in the 3rd row in front of a stage for a rock concert(yea, it was that loud, but without the band). A lot of attention was paid to the design of this space, nothing to the acoustics. It’s the reason we won’t be back. As I said, the food was good. The meatball w polenta appetizer was excellent. The chicken was very good well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the pizza was ok. Thin crusted w the usual suspects of ingredient. If you are going to use spicy sausage and hot peppers instead of sweet, say so. I enjoy the heat, others at our table did not. The carbonara was rich and creamy and packed with flavor. We were so physically uncomfortable from the noise, we did not stay for coffee or dessert.

My fiancé and I were very excited to try Grato because it’s owned by the same person who owns Buccan on palm beach.(Buccan by the way is AMAZING). Anyway, we had dinner on Valentine’s Day and I have to say it’s a very nice space. We ordered 3 crostinis to start which were pretty good and then we shared a meatball slider which we really enjoyed. My sangria was OK but I have had better for sure. Then came the entrees. My fiancé ordered the rotisserie chicken and I ordered a shrimp, pasta, spinach, tomato, and fish sauce dish which I had not seen on the website’s menu. Perhaps they change things up a bit for special occasions such as Valentine’s Day? I don’t know. Each of our entrees ranged from $ 20 — $ 22. My fiancé thought the half chicken was more like the size of a chicken breast. The side he got was some kind of tomato salad which he claimed his father makes better. He expressed disappointment at the fact that he didn’t even get a proper starch(like potato!). My pasta & shrimp dish was palatable but definitely not something I would order again. I didn’t think this kind of dish could taste badly but at certain points throughout the meal, I regretted my decision. I did not finish it and took the rest home because I don’t like to waste food and ate it the next day(today), leaving some of it behind too. In any event, the sauce was weird and verrrrry fishy. Let;s just say, it didn’t agree with my stomach… Finally, desert time. I have to say the tiramisu was excellent(I tried it) and I ordered the panacotta with caramel gelato which was okay, nothing stellar. The cappuccinos we had were ordinary. Our server at least was very competent, so that was a plus. All in all, I am not ready to return and it;s not like it’s cheap either, especially for what you’re getting(or at least what WE got for our money). Stick with Buccan or some other place!

My boyfriend brought me here for Valentine’s Day. We really enjoyed ourselves! The hostesses greater us with a big smile and the service was fantastic. To me, having great service while dining out really makes the night! Jorge was our server and he was very profession, attentive and put together. He made suggestions, and they were all on point. This place is busy, so be patient, grab a delicious cocktail and have some fun. The pizza is outstanding and the pasta is amazing. We will be back soon!

Heard about this new place so we ventured from over the island, we should have eaten somewhere, anywhere else! The place itself has a great vibe, nice ambience. The drinks(slingshot wine) was good, and the Italian Salad were the only good things. The food is awful, there’s no other way to put it… Herb Roasted Cauliflower was overdone! The pepperoni pizza was all dough, the sauce was disgusting, very little cheese, and the pepperoni was to big, it was one of the worst pizza’s all four of us had ever had. The Tagliatelle ‘nero’ did not come black as it’s supposed to(hence the word nero)…who on earth is in the kitchen? Spaghetti Pomodoro was had NO taste, the sauce was not good. We didn’t know what to say about the Caramel Panna Cotta, are they serious? who on earth made that awful dessert. The drinks and salad were good, and we would return for drinks only at the bar as the ambience is good… stay far away from the food, it’s just really, really bad!

I came here for my birthday dinner for the first time, and boy what a great birthday treat! The service was awesome, and the décor is really nice. The star of the evening though was the food. We started with the meatball appetizer and the beef carpaccio. Both were very good, but the carpaccio stood out. It was unbelievably delicious! For the entrees we shared the bucatini carbonara and the prosciutto pizza with fig and arugula. Both were so delicious and looked amazing that the group at the next table even were commenting. I really can’t wait to go back!

had an amazing experience here. service was great and all of his recommendations were delicious. The fried vegetable appetizer was fantastic, even included fried lemons. Pizza, Pasta both good but the limoncello was to die for– the best I’ve had in America! Definitely will be returning here. Everything was impressive!

Here is my rating in stars: Food: 3(food was average, no wow factor) Price: 3(average) Atmosphere: 3(very loud, very crowded) Service: 4(the girl we had was attentive) Professionalism: 2(hostess was overwhelmed and confused with the reservations) Management: 2(not organized, rude) We made a 7:45pm reservation and finally sat down at 8:49pm. They put us next to the bar where people were literally leaning on our table and on the back of my wife’s chair. The evening was not enjoyable. Plenty of other great restaurants in the area to go to this one needs some time to get organized.

I’m giving it 3.5 stars. My husband and I came here last night for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we saw that we were running late, we called and let the restaurant know that we were running behind due to traffic and we will be there as soon as we could for our reservation. The hostess said that it would not be a problem and to take our time. We drove past the place and had to make a U-turn to see where it was located. There is a sign on the building that faces in the opposite direction, so it’s hard to miss if you don’t look for it when you come from the south side of Dixie Highway. Keep a note of it if you go here. There is complimentary valet parking and we took advantage of it since we were running behind. Once we stepped in, we were welcomed by the hostesses and seated immediately. We apologized again and they said that it was not a problem again and they were happy we were able to make it for dinner. The place is very hip and nice. It has an open kitchen layout and there are two bars that you are welcome to sit at if there are seats available. There are three chandeliers that are on one side of the restaurant hanging from the ceiling and it felt like I was in a haunted house. The rest of the décor was modern and the black and white colors went so well together, so the chandeliers made it different and it’s not a bad thing. Just unusual. However, let’s get to the menu. You can choose from Italian appetizers, crostinis, salads, antipastas, pizzas, pastas, meats, and desserts. I had already made my decision before I went there and it was the bucatini carbonara. When I saw some pictures of it online, I had to try it. It was served with thick spaghetti topped with bacon, ham, peas, and a egg yolk. It was very delicious! My husband got the margherita pizza topped with mozzarella, basil, and tomato. It was fresh and very good as well. The desserts we had were the caramel panna cotta and the tiramisu cake. The panna cotta consisted of caramel, which was molded and chilled, and topped with chocolate gelato and candied cocoa nibs. Mmmm mmm mmm! It was like heaven with each bite. The tiramisu was soaked in espresso and served with coffee gelato. I wasn’t too thrilled with it, but my husband was a fan. The service was great, but the wait time was longer than expected. It took a while for our food to come out and our waiter disappeared for a while while we were eating our dinner. It seem like it was a good 20 minutes before he came back to our table to check to see how everything was or if we wanted dessert. I was looking for him a few times and was wondering where he was. When I finally saw him, he went over to the two tables next to us and took care of them. He saw us and went the other way. I was not impressed with what he did and he came back five minutes later with no apology. I can’t even remember what his name was and it doesn’t even matter at this point. Would I go back? Yes, but to a different server. I’m not sure if it was a busy night or if it was short staff. The food rocked and I wouldn’t mind checking out the décor again. The server needed to step up his game on his actions and acknowledged what he did. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the guy who brought out our dessert wished us well. Our waiter didn’t. Hopefully, it will be better next time!

Grato is a fun, hip spot for great Italian. Italian is a competitive space in south Florida but I think Grato gets top marks. The food is fantastic! Meatballs are just the right amount of spicy; makes you almost crave more spice in a good way. The steak tar tar crostini is creative and really good. The Sunday gravy pasta gives Grato an old school touch, and it’s worth the trip all on its own. Desserts are nicely done. The tiramisu is a classic, but the chef at Grato does a creative take on it that works perfectly. The space is beautiful and cool. you can do table service, or enjoy a front seat at the pizza oven where the chefs are fun and friendly. It can get noisy, but that’s what happens when places are buzzing and packed in an open space like this. For a quieter experience grab a side table, if you want full craziness hit the bull pen right in the middle of the place and enjoy the action. My only suggestion is adding more local beers on tap. South Florida has a booming and creative beer scene. Grato should put its support behind funky Buddha, due south, and copper point in addition to their tequesta tap. Grato: the perfect addition to this stretch of Dixie!

My husband & I, along with another couple, were invited to dine at Grato just before they opened to the public. We liked the open kitchen lay out and the ambiance the moment we walked in. On this night there were a number of pre selected dishes that would be served to us family style to enjoy. Our server, Steve was awesome! He was attentive to our needs the whole time and kept us entertained with his witty humor. We tried two of their salads: the Apple & Celery salad and the Escarole Caesar salad. We enjoyed both of these. The fried calamari(Rhode Island style) was very good as well. My favorite dish of the evening was the Parmesan Polenta w/mushroom ragu. The herbed penne w/braised lamb had the potential of being another favorite of mine, however, I am not an olive fan & didn’t care for the olives that came in the dish. The Pasta Red was a solid dish but I would have liked if they came around & offered freshly grated Parm. For dessert we tried the Coconut gelato, the Lime curd semifreddo & the Fresh berry crostata and they were each delicious. We didn’t have a chance to try their pizzas on this night but I could see them coming out of the oven & they looked really good. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Grato. Our waitress was also very pleasant and helpful since this was our first time in. The timing of our food was a bit odd but I am attributing this to their first week in business! Nothing I would hold against a new restaurant. We ordered the Margherita pizza, calamari and meatballs. Everything was delicious. I do not normally eat a diet high in carbs, so when I do… it better be good! West Palm Beach needed a spot like this. I look forward to coming back in. My only complaint… where are the cannolis? :)

My BF& I were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful and delicious this place was AND it didn’t break the bank. I thought the food was priced well — we each ordered a drink(mixed & a glass of wine), 1 app, 2 dishes, & dessert and the bill came to under $ 100. The pizzas were divine! We ordered the following: App: Tuna Crudo(as suggested by our waiter) — I thought that this was ok and it did not blow me away. Tuna tasted a little more stiff than I am used to. Main: Bucatini Carbonara — I actually ordered this because I saw some reviews by others of how amazing it was — it was well seasoned but not my style. Pasta is al dente. Porchetta Brick Oven Pizza — both of our favorite dish of the night — the crust itself was so fluffy and delicious — we loved how the well the flavors melded together AND it comes at a reasonable size — I was full after 2 slices. Dessert: Tiramisu Layer Cake — Loved it. So many different components that come together and create such a distinct taste in your mouth. It’s a great way to top of the meal :) Overall: would come back again — just to try out more of the delicious pizzas! Also, I would most definitely suggest making a reservation — we went on a Thursday for an 8:30PM dinner and the entire place was packed! A sidtenote on our serivce: I didn’t think our service was terrible, but I did find our waiter to be very slow and awkward — almost no personality.

Strike One. Pizza just shouldn’t be pretentious. Neither should Pasta. At 5:10 pm, I am asked for a reservation.(I am a walk-in, living right around the corner.) I’m gleefully advised that I can sit at the«Pizza Bar,» which is actually crammed between two other patrons. I ask if I can sit in one of the seats at the other end. «No, it looks like someone is holding those.» You mean that you need reservations for the Pizza Bar too? Not entirely sure if I get that whole issue. FYI, Grato: That brass electrical outlet box that’s in the floor, about 8 feet from the hostess stand, next to a long wooden table that faces your bar: I almost took a header on that when my sandal caught it as I was looking for a seat at your front bar. Having looked at the menu, I will be back to give Grato another try. The menu is pretty exciting, considering the places that line Dixie Highway. Other than Table 26, this is the most deliciously diverse menu I’ve seen in a long time in PBC. I like the selections of their Antepasti, but as an Italian American, I would prefer that they spell it correctly, not«Antipasti.» The wine list is bigger than I thought it would be, but pricey, with a very admirable number of Italian selections. Considering you can buy a bottle of Hahn Pinot Noir for $ 15 at Publix and Grato’s glass is $ 11, you get the picture. The beer selection on Tap is a pretty fresh departure from what I usually see when I’m out and about Downtown. And the desserts are not your run-of-the-mill snoozers. I was impressed that they offer Panna Cotta and a fresh berry crostata. By all means, MAKE A RESERVATION or prepare to be utterly disappointed as I was.
