As stated in other reviews, this is a very small place with an elbow to elbow table setup. Because of this, a reservation is a must. Don’t be surprised if it takes several tries to score a table. The atmosphere is magical with a family groove that makes you feel like you are dining at a small bistro just outside of Paris. The dining experience is glorious and can only be surpassed if you have the good fortune to meet Chef Guy as he wanders the small restaurant making sure that everyone is having a nice time. Then it’ll make sense. The warmth, care and hospitality of this gentleman can be savored throughout his menu. His wife runs the room’s service like a finely tuned orchestra, having no time for nonsense but caring for everyones needs and wants at a moments notice. In my opinion, one of the top 3 or 4 restaurants in Palm Beach County. Not for everyone, especially those whom require a big stage with glitz and glamour. But for those who value culinary excellence, great service and a setting filed with a relaxed warmth not easily found in our area, then the French Corner Bistro is guaranteed to always be better than extraordinary.

Service was virtually nonexistent and much too slow for me to even consider coming back. My prosciutto & mozzarella sandwich was so salty that I couldn’t even finish the second half. At first bite, I thought it was salty prosciutto, but realized the entire sandwich had been doused in salt. Had anyone come by the table, I would’ve commented.

I love the food here. It’s a really small place and you are elbow to elbow with the next table in season, but it’s worth it. Make a reservation and don’t be late! If the place was larger and had better décor I would give it 5 stars. Larger portions than you would expect at a top notch French place.

Excellent food — you come here for the outstanding food. Service is acceptable. Atmosphere is. .. well, you are in a strip mall. We had trout meunière and roast turkey on baguette. Both were outstanding — nicely seasoned and presented well. Also had the profiteroles for dessert and this was excellent as well — pastry very fresh and good quality ice cream and chocolate sauce. Will definitely return.

Food was good, definitely hearty meals. I actually was a bit surprised by the size of the dishes. I know most people don’t complain about having too much food(especially in this country which is getting fatter by the second… I digress) but these dishes were huge, especially by French standards. In my opinion dishes this big make it difficult for people with a ‘normal’ appetite to have a three course meal(appetizer, main dish, dessert). And, of course you’re not allowed to share dishes unless you pay a fee; keeping with French tradition ;) One thing I must say, the chocolate tart was to die for!!! I would go back only to eat this decadent dessert again!!!

Love this quaint restaurant. The food was exquisite. Get there before 8 pm or you might risk not being taken in for dinner.

Excellent food, but the owners wife, who waits tables, is very unpleasant . Normally, I would cross this place off my list, because of attitude, but food is just too good! They also sell sliced turkey, which is home cooked, as well as whole chickens and turkeys. Good to know for holidays. Desert crepes are also worth the calories.

Walked in dressed well with wife and 2 kids at 6:30pm on a Tues. Only 2 tables out of about 15 were taken. They asked us if we had a reservation. I thought she was joking. I realize if they don’t want you there that’s how they get rid of you. Don’t worry we won’t be back.

Great little bistro tucked away in a shopping center. My wife had the quiche lorrainne which was savory and delicious with a great texture. I opted for the prosciutto an mozzarella baguette and wasn’t dissapointed! Everything was hand made. It was much better food than we anticipated finding near the Florida Turnpike on a road trip from Orlando to Key West. And not much more expensive than the other nearby options.

Excellent food the owner is a master in French cuisine, uncomplicated and delicious. The wife works as the hostess and waitress, she hates her life and it shows. Miserable woman the husband could make more only if he paid her to stay home. The daughter works once in a while as a waitress and she is ok. If you have thick skin and can tolerate the troll you will enjoy a very well prepared meal.

Everything was terrific. The food, the service was above average. The escargot was perfect, fresh fish of the day was wonderful. It is a small place so I would recommend reservations.

We ate lunch here twice the wk we were vacationing in Florida. It is the real deal, witness the French speaking tables around us. Excellent cooking amply sized. Nothing was poorly cooked and much of it was excellent. I will be back next year.

Generous portions and fair pricing makes this a winner. Enjoyed the rotisserie chicken and the rack of lamb. All the sides were excellent.

I read all of the reviews before going here with family and friends, and was concerned. But, no need! I only had an entrée, but an excellent one it was… veal chop cooked as ordered, with french green beans and roasted potatoes that were perfectly crispy outside and moist inside. Everyone else enjoyed the their meals, ranging from fish to lamb. Don’t expect warm and fuzzy from the owners, but you can count on an excellent meal in a cute little setting… even if it lacks a French ambiance and feels more like a small deli.

Amazing for the price. It’s a small family run restaurant with great personality. They will customize any dish to meet your dietary needs. I 100% recommend this place and will definitely go back here next time I am back in West Palm Beach.

Only half full when we arrived for our lunch reservation. And it did fill up true to predictions. Oysters Rockefeller were incredible and the trout could not have been better. Price was a bargain considering the great quality. The French husband and wife team were busy but gracious. I suggest that you never go there so they keep space for me.

My friends and I popped in here for a cappuccino and espresso. Upon walking in a waitress stopped speaking to her table, looked up and asked ‘can I help you?’ instead of the traditional«welcome» or «how many in your party?» We indicated we wanted coffee, but were told there was just no room to take us. Oddly enough, there were only two tables seated, and four or five open. Needless to say, we left, and have no plans to attempt a return.

I would have loved to have reviewed this place, but we were refused service. Though they had five or six empty tables, the greeter told us they were«booked up». Oh well, at least the snobby attitude was authentic.

This is a teeny tiny French bistro tucked away in a strip mall in West Palm Beach. I think there were only six tables in the place, set in front of a take-out counter and display case. No matter, the white table clothes and French accents provided plenty of ambience, and they were able to seat a party of five with no discomfort or sense of being cramped. In any event, the food alone makes this restaurant well worth the trip. I started off with escargot — little soft bites of garlicky, buttery goodness.(I also sopped up much of the pools of the garlic butter with French bread … I could live on it!) I then had the veal with mushrooms. Though I was expecting medallions, it was more like a thin veal steak, but delicious and tender, nonetheless. Dessert included profiteroles with chocolate sauce and a cappuccino. Nothing disappointed. I hope to return to French Corner Bistro whenever I find myself back in West Palm Beach.

According to my French girlfriend and her family, by far the best French food in Palm Beach County. It’s a SMALL restaurant and I think that reservations are mandatory but it’s totally worth it. The atmosphere is like being in someone’s home as an invited guest, still formal but also relaxed and friendly. My girlfriend and I had the steak and escargot with a half carafe of wine. This was my first foray into the cuisine of the snail, and now I’m hooked! Very tender, not rubbery at all. The steak was moist, nearly falling apart, the BEST steak I’ve had in the Palm Beaches, hands down. This place is a hidden treasure, check it out!
