My husband and I come here often usually on Saturdays. The food is good and portions plenty. Everything is always fresh. The owners are sweet and very attentive to the quality of food and the guests. I would definitely recommend it!

My friend and I were up in the area for a workshop and had an hour for lunch. Not knowing the area, I checked Unilocal so we could avoid some crappy chain place that was around. We were pleasantly surprised with The Black Bean Café! I got the chicken burrito and my friend go the carne burrito. The portion was a good size, and the ingredients were fresh. They also had tons of hot sauces for us to use. The staff was extremely friendly and gracious for our business.

Their theme is «Latin Comfort Food» which includes Mexican-​style burritos and tacos (different from TexMex which you might expect in casual-​dine). The pastries (and cookies) are made fresh daily and very good.
Important note: They’re only open until 3PM.
If you’re able to make it before 3pm, I recommend giving it a try. It’s fresh, carefully prepared, and reasonably priced.
Their theme is quick, casual dining with a limited menu. For that reason, you won’t find options if you’re not in the mood for Mexican (eg — no burgers, etc).
The owners are always on-​site. Some of the nicest people I’ve met, very caring. They really care about the quality of their food and they’re attentive to special requests.
Parking is convenient and it’s quick to get in/​out.

New local business which serves Latin comfort food for breakfast and lunch. They have an assortment of large burritos and hot sandwiches. I have been here a few times for lunch and it was always delicious. The owners are super friendly. My favorite for lunch has to be the prime rib sandwich. Tomato, avocado, beef, and cheese. They also have a breakfast burrito with chorizo, eggs, potatoes, and cheese that is large and filling. Everything is prepared to order. This is definitely a place you have to try. So much better than a chain.
